I too am a touchscreen convert especially a phone with a large screen since it makes for easier browsing and viewing images. As suggested by earlier posters, it depends on what you use your phone for. Androids have the largest market share now followed by IOS ( Apple ) and Research In Motion who make Blackberry. FYI, Google are buying Motorola Mobility, the cellphone arm of Motorola so this may be a bonus for Motorola users in time to come. The Samsung GalaxyII is just about the leading Android around ATM but you should try looking at the full range of phones to see which suits you best. I refer again to GSM Arena dot com. They are priceless.
I've been using fully touch screen phones since 2007 and I hate using keypads now. Generally touchscreen keyboards aren't brilliant but there is one called Swype (don't think its standard on iPhones, it is on my phone and I've used it for years now) where you just slide your finger from letter to letter so if you wanted to write you, then you'd just slide your finger from y to o then to you and it automatically writes itself. It's so much faster than individually thumping letters in and it's got a considerable margin for error.
I can`t get on with these new i phone & blacberry things so I`ll just stick to the trusted old C2 please log in to view this image
That does sound pretty good, my last 3 phones have been touch screen and i won't go back to buttons for a while. I'll see if theres an app for swpe although i highly doubt it if it isn't standard on the phone.
