She's been ok travelling the distances here in Oz, but this is a whole other story. Her trainer does say that he is confident that she'll right on the day. But he was adamant that unless she was 100%, she won't run. The fact that the mare is making the trip says that the camp must be pretty confident though.
 
Has she left Australia yet? I have to say I am a bit surprised they did not bring her over a bit earlier to give her time to get over the journey.
 
Jana, Black Caviar leaves this Wednesday for what will probably be a 30 hour trip. The stable is leaving no stone unturned. She'll travel with her own vet, track rider and her trainer's assistant Tony Haydon. Her chiropractor will follow as will Peter Moody and Luke Nolan, her rider.
 
Will she have a paddock on the boat or will she be stuck in a box?
