Commentator made a valid point that the rest of the defence seem to be worried about Turner especially O'Shea. You can't carry passengers in the Prem.
Even considering we came back from 2 down still a bad result today. Have to look to win at home to WBA
Still not good enough, there were signs of some good play but we need some wins and we need them fast. The positives are that we are starting to play like a team now, if we had Bramble instead of Turner we would possibly have won today. On the negative side, Turner does not look up to the pace and we still cannot convert chances to get ahead in a game. Big game vs Arsenal its a must win really at this stage, not an easy task.
I really think it's time for Bruce to move on. It needs changing. 1 point from 6 against Norwich and WBA ( no disrespect) is not good enough, this is not improvement.
At least the Bruce defenders will be able to come on and say a good point! A point at home against the mighty WBA? First half they gave us a footballing lesson, second half more even.
this! We were much better than WBA in the 2nd half, and the last 15 minutes of the 1st one. Oshea was covering for turner all game, which left us weak down that side - every time WBA attacked on that side i was nervous when bardsley gets back it has to be Bardo, Oshea, Brown and Ricco
AGree about Turner, but Ricco in the team again? He was again giving the ball away from 2 or 3 yard passes. Nothing to do with where he is played, all to do with lack of basic passing ability. Time to bring some of the youngun's in, imho.
not a good point, but it was defensive errors (turner) who cost us the 3 points - otherwise we played ok and, especially in the 2nd half, we were the better team overall imo (still ****ting myself everytime the ball went down WBAs left side towards oshea and turner mind). Bruce's tactics and game plan cant be blamed this time imo.
Could we not have done more to try and win the game 2nd half? They showed good spirit to get back into it after such a rotten start, but really I thought the 3 points were there for us if we'd gone for it a bit more, with some more adventurous substitutions. I think Bruce is more concerned about covering his arse than taking a gamble and going for the win.
Right, my brother just got back from the match and says Turner had a decent game and was solid, that the 2nd goal was Gardner's fault and that Richardson has no clue how to play LB. Some contradictions to things I've seen on here, thoughts?
Second goal was a good tackle by Gardner that unluckily bounded Turner's way and Turner was left treading water chasing the WBA forward.
