Just been reading some more comments from them and I'm just pissing myself with laughter! They need a big skip full of sugar to sweeten those sour grapes!
Was it a penalty? The only man that matters said it wasn't so that's the end of that. Apparently according to their match report " The Tractor Boys play agricultural football so beloved by their Manager " and Bishops goal was " A toe poke that crept agonisingly inside the post. " In fact the Cherries were absolutely brilliant, so brilliant they didn't win the match. Kermorgants goal was brilliant but so was Murphys header but nobody even gives him credit for a terrific strike. Whos sending them the sugar jonny you or me?
They also forgot to mention FM that their player who got injured was well off side in the build up! First half we were awful but if they were a brilliant team they would have been 4 or 5 up by half time! Second half we came out and battled which they didn't like! A thoroughly deserved point in the end.
Nobody likes to see any player get hurt jonny but their howls of indignation followed by whimpering and bleating when they didn't get their " penalty " is nothing short of a total embarrassment.
Even the BBC are reporting that the ref made a controversial decision by waiving away the Penalty appeals! It would have been more controversial if the referee had given it as their player was a good 10 yards offside!
JWM, just to let you know my boy has been refereeing this season, has now had 10 games and done really well, he had his written assessment last week and got 86%, now level 8, he is 16 in January, so hope he will get more 11 aside games, I am also going to try to get him some games up at the academy!
That's really good Hoppers and I'm really pleased that he's enjoying it! Good money as well for 2 hours work!
They can't leave it alone can they! Big chips on their shoulders! http://www.bournemouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=66482&posts=8
Christ you couldn't make it up, Bournemouth played very well in stages but they didn't win the match, I wonder how many times every football team has had this happen to them. Nobody to blame than themselves they didn't score enough goals, and the opposition might have had something to do with it so lets all move on to next weekend.
Proud to be bullies and spoilers!?!?!? Hahahaha! What a f***ing idiot........ We CERTAINLY were not dirty. If we're gone out and played open expansive footy we'd have lost by 4/5/6, they are a good footballing side. " Funny how their 'cheaply assembled' squad had a wage bill of £18 million a couple of years back. No doubt it has reduced since then but I suspect not by too much. " WRONG it's around £7 mill now you moron. " I'm not sure if sour grapes applies if you don't lose but they didn't play any good football and were long ball. " - the first bit we played we scored from............. " McCarthy mentioned in one of his interviews something about "different styles". I think he meant different sports. " So you call us a long-ball side, and McCarthy says we adopted a different style to their expansive one so that automatically means we're playing a different sport.... I can remember them playing hoofball many a time over the years. I wonder how many fans they'll take to Portman Road, 300 - 450 probably. These people are absolute ******s. Enjoy it while it lasts, be nice if the ££££ can dry up and they can get back to their usual position, league1/2.
It just goes to show what a useless bunch of cloggers we are, October manager of the month, October player of the month, joint top scorer in the division, and 1 point behind Bournemouth in late November. No wonder they feel sorry for us having to watch " that " every week.
I can understand partially where they are coming from fieldmarshall. They play very very good expansive footy. However, they have to accept that other teams will try different styles vs them. All about them failing to put the game to bed saturday, our keeper made a terrific save when it looked easier for 2-0 early on. Had that gone in, the floodgates could have opened. I seem to recall us absolutely battering sides when we had Joe Royle incharge, but being open at the back and not putting games to bed. Reading away 04-05 is probably the best I've seen us play for 90 minutes, we ripped them to shreds but ended up with a point!
The truth is that you cant call yourself a quality team unless you stick the chances away and dont allow your opponents back into the game when in a position of strength. Bournemouth for all their dominance basically fooked it up and they've only themselves to blame!
Bournemouth are just Portsmouth in disguise. They'll have a couple of years of glory before going into administration and plummeting down the leagues. Here's hoping anyway.
Sadly Bournemouth aren't the only team guilty of not putting games to bed this season, if we had done recently we would be top of the league....they really need to get over themselves and realise that is what this division is all about!
