Yeah Swans fans shown some class. Aside from that bloke who was obsessed with Shelvey. I'm sure he injured Jonjos cameo with Routledge and Cork (?) bouncing off Jonjo as if they were ragdolls.

Townsend was class today. Made all 3 goals. Good deliveries too. Even the free kick he messed up was quite dangerous. Also playing Sissoko down the middle seems to be the way to go, because his dangerous staggering can't do defensive damage. Anita had a good game too. Not fair on the lad to judge him on playing left back, he's fine as right back, I'd have him over Janmaat any day on the form of last 12 months. Janmaats been a complete liability. Everytime he gets forward we pretty much end up conceeding.

Agree 100%. Been saying all season he is nowhere as good as he thinks he is. He is the Dutch version of the previous French waste of space, Debuchy. He same the same mentality, too. Cocksucker.Thank **** for that brick wall in the Southampton dressing room. Can we buy it a pint or something or send it a "Thank You" card?

Is just banter boys - no harm is meant by it! ;) And yes, I did laugh when he steamrollered Cork and Routledge.

But all joking aside I genuinely do hope it is Sunderland and Norwich that join Villa in the Championship next year as I have always had a soft spot for Newcastle (especially the fans who I have always had a great craic with, and are amongst the most passionate I have encountered).

We were totally outplayed in every position today and showed nowhere near the intensity and effort that your guys did, looked like men against boys at times.

Good luck for the rest of the season and looking forward to two more matches with you next season.

<cheers>

Rafa gave himself a present and sat Shelvey , guarenteed red card IMO .
He spoke to Shelvey about the game and keeping his cool and must have not liked what he heard .
A very good and deserved win ...should be interesting now . Great call by Rafa .

Hope the Toon stay up! But you have to ask. With a performance like today, why the players did not respond earlier in the season.

Steve McLaren's biggest fault was that his teams were just far too open and ill disciplined to achieve any kind of consistency. Rafa is trying to make us more compact and better organized and that is something we're learning to comply with.
