I've just had a quick look at their results so far. They seem to struggle against teams that dominate possession (and against anyone, for that matter), having been dominated at home by both Bournemouth and Reading to defeats. We're going to rip them a new arsehole. I'm so excited
Evening Marko Arry has spent a bit of money too, and they just have not clicked yet, but Brum is a potential banana skin.
I think only Boro have spent more than we have, although Redknapp is an experienced manager. I had a quick look at the match stats for their games against Bournemouth and Reading, and they don't appear to be very good at preventing possession based opponents from dominating possession. They gave up 58% to Bournemouth and 60% to Reading. They've also lost to Burton. Birmingham are not in a good way at the moment. While it could be a potential banana skin, we're the team that's difficult to beat at the moment and will punish mistakes thoroughly.
Cheeky goal by Aiden Flint. They've done well to keep hold of that lad, goal scoring centre half with the ability he's got is a rare thing indeed!
Still pinching myself, but my inner pessimistic self is nervous about Birmingham. Expecting the bubble to burst at anytime. Oh and don't want the wallies back on here for weeks
We have got to get into the mentality of expecting us to lose at some stage. I too am chuffed & optimistic that we can beat every team, but reality will hit us at some stage, so get ready, accept it & get on to the next match. Dont start shouting (as some will) for sacking the manager, Felix, Saiz ..... We have spent fark all by the way on this squad as we have sold players for more than we spent
Agree Elland, read what Arry said yesterday,he said when his new players settle they will be up the top.£6 million pound striker. Will be happy with any win.
I don't see the bubble bursting any time soon. The confidence is *way* too high. When the bubble burst in the past, we were just about scraping results without really looking particularly convincing.
I'll expect it at our next away game. Until then we've got another home game that is likely to be a convincing 3 points
Reason in the past we have won a few then had a bad run is we weren't good enough. This team hasn't conceded a goal since I was a young man, and every player seems likely to score, and we are dominating. Even at odds on we are good value for getting on a win v Birmingham. I get the reasons why we could slip up here, but don't think we will. Eventually yes, but not this week
