You should listen to the commentator… they are making all the noise and having most of the play?

What a goal-mouth scramble in their penalty box.

But they got away with it!

Numerous chances for us following more good work from Willock, all cleared. Then he sets up Dykes but his control fails him.

We are looking good all over the pitch apart from front two. Who aren’t awful
Just not quite sharp enough to make this easy

We're 1 up against a weak team who are huffing and puffing and somehow we don't think it's a good idea to find easy passes, move the ball around and make them chase. Someone thinks it's a good idea to make random blind passes and lose possession.

Very disappointing from front two. Gray has had some touches and press but no impact. Dykes is offering nothing - wasteful, not pressing any of their defenders when they have the ball - all his work-rate is gone. Not sure what he is offering this team.

Feels a bit strange to be quite comfortably leading 0-1 at half-time.

But I am sure that I can get used to it! :)

HT 1-0 to us. Willock a lot better today. But Brum who seem to have a few poor players and a few decent are getting too close to our goal too often. We havent really dominated, just shone intermittently mainly with Willock.

What annoys me is we could dominate this game if we wanted to. Brum really don't look that good. If we were a lot more sensible with the ball, let Willock and Dykes drop back slightly, we could just make them chase shadows and build up some attacks as they try to come out.

    Such a comfortable first half.
They look very poor after struggling to put out a team apparently.
Field has been magnificent in midfield.
    Willock better than of late.
The back three totally in command with Dunne relishing the battle with Deeney in his cup final.
Only downside is how poor the front two have looked, especially Dykes who seldom looks above league one standard imo.
Mind you, they are living on scraps as we aren't controlling possession as we usually do. Possibly due to missing Chair and Johansen.

We don't look in any trouble at all, which obviously means that we MUST get a second goal.

We should batter these, they look awful. Take control of the midfield and hit them fast. Dykes been terrible, Scotland have properly ended him, Gray not been much better but quicker through balls are required. Amos given the ball away a few times, Field doing well in there. Just get it out to Adomah as much as possible, Willock still doesn't look fully fit to me.

I don't get why people are so down on our three strikers. Bloody hell. There are many teams who would like to have three strikers as good as ours at this level. The only issue is that we don't tend to play them to their strengths.

Furthermore, Dykes has been great for us and has been out for a little while injured and maybe had Covid. So now he's not straight back up to speed, people are coming down on him?

What happened to getting behind players who, quite obviously, are trying hard?

And look where we are in the table, with another game in hand. What is there really to complain about, apart from perhaps playing them differently/setting the team up a bit better.
