We're marching towards half-time at St Andrew’s. And still a desperately poor game. No shots on target yet. And little other to keep us warm to talk about in the press box than classic old Jim Smith tales... Oh yes, and that duck-egg blue QPR away strip, with the cleverly disguised numbers,

Opinion varies as to whether they have dressed up like this in homage to Birmingham’s weekend tenants this season, Coventry City, or whether QPR are simply rowing fans.

Next to the royal blue of their hosts’ shirts, it gives them the air of looking more like the Cambridge University boat race crew!
