Perhaps unfit, although he was thrown on as late sub at Blackburn. BBC have now featured him as potentially part of the squad for our last two matches:- please log in to view this image Ravel Morrison spent the 2013-13 season on loan at Birmingham, scoring three times in 30 appearances Birmingham City have won just one of their last six league meetings with the Hoops, failing to score in each of their four defeats. 15 mins to go - Smith seems really strong with his head. Latest: Birmingham 0 QPR 2 – Rangers within sight of away win By Adam Borysiuk 18/02/2017 Goals from Matt Smith and Conor Washington put QPR in control at St Andrews. They started brightly and were rewarded when Smith headed home Luke Freeman’s 19th-minute corner – his first goal for Rangers. And Washington struck two minutes into the second half, firing into the far corner from the left-hand side of the penalty area for his third goal in five matches. Freeman, making his first start for the R’s, linked up well with fellow January signing Smith in the opening stages. And after Freeman’s half-volley was pushed away by Birmingham keeper Tomasz Kuszczak, Smith’s follow-up was blocked. At the other end, Emilio Nsue missed a great opportunity for the hosts when he headed wide from three yards out. Ryan Shotton then cleared off the line to deny Smith after the Rangers target man pounced on Cheick Keita’s poor header and lifted the ball over Kuszczak. But the Birmingham-born Smith made no mistake when Freeman served up the perfect delivery from the left – and would have scored again from another Freeman corner had Kuszczak not saved his header. Kuszczak then produced another save, this time to keep out Pawel Wszolek’s header after the Pole had been found by Ryan Manning’s cross. Birmingham ended the first half strongly and went close to equalising when Jerome Sinclair’s shot deflected off Joel Lynch and struck the crossbar. But QPR doubled their lead soon after the restart to leave them within sight of victory. QPR: Smithies, Furlong, Onuoha, Lynch, Bidwell, Wszolek, Hall, Manning, Freeman, Smith, Washington. Subs: Ingram, Mackie, Luongo, Ngbakoto, Perch, LuaLua, Sylla. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/birmingham-qpr-second-half-latest-update
