Last week we made it 3 wins from 3 games, so let’s see how long we can keep the winning streak going… Sargent completed another good performance with another goal against Sunderland to make it 4 goals from 3 games for his personal tally, and I fully expect him to start again, the question will be whether Pukki joins him from the start or later in the game. Although the side won at the weekend it was a tough game and I can see a couple of changes being made to the starting lineup. Firstly Cantwell for Hernandez - Hernandez’s direct style is better coming off the bench and I think we will need our ball players for this one. Secondly, Byram came back to play 70mins at the weekend after a long injury lay off, I doubt he will start this one but may come off the bench. With Gibbs injury that means changes are necessary in midfield. I would move McLean back to LB where he prove an able deputy, then I would bring in Sara for a first league start and move Nunez to the deeper lying role as I believe he is experience there? The rest of the team picks itself I think, Krul made some great saves last game so I won’t push my Gunn agenda. Birmingham City have struggled so far this season despite beating Huddersfield and draws against Luton and most notably Watford they find themselves just above the relegation zone at this early stage. Norwich loanee Placheta has been one of their better offensive players and is ineligible for the game which also sees former Canary GK John Ruddy set to feature. Positive vibes!!! ON THE BALL CITY!!!
Excellent again Suffolk, and worth waiting for. Like your lineup suggestions and much will depend on Byram's condition. If he is able to, another option would be for him to start at LB with McLean in midfield and then change it around 60-70 minutes with Dowell or Cantwell coming into midfield. Smith has some serious choices to make but the next two matches could provide an opportunity for Sara to build up his minutes.
The game is not being televised by Sky, so any chance of a stream? Birm doesn't have ifollow or any other service that I can find.
It's available through Norwich's Canaries TV so it could well be available on streams. Classic fingers crossed.
Ramsey starting, the LW rotation continues! I know he got the assist vs Sunderland, but not sure what the rest of his game is like. Really hope Byram can come through 90 mins unscathed, and we can find reinforcements before the weekend.
Not heard this from Smith, have I missed something? So fail to provide a goal/assist and your place is up for grabs, get one and you can start the next game?
Think it's more about over the season so far, so Sinani stays due to his 2 goals and 3 assists and Dowell for his work to play in Sargent for his 3rd goal, Ramsey of course assisting the 4th.
Cantwell being rested? Hugill not even on the bench so he seems destined to play a bit part (it at all). Looks like Pukki is now destined to come off the bench as an impact player. Some class this player could almost become a play maker?
I think it was one of our players in an interview with MB, talking about DS's pre-season openness and honesty as to how he was going to approach his selection headache given the competition in the squad.
Slipped my mind that Ramsey and Smith being ex-Villa probably wouldn't go down well with the home fans.
