I know exactly what they are trying to do and I am judging them on what they have DONE. I'll repeat it for you:

The Yanks have taken a mid table Premiership side to relegation to the Championship, followed by a fire sale of the Clubs squad without any meaningful re-investment to strengthen the squad.

Come on then Mr Bullshit, what part of this statement isn't a FACT? - "The Yanks have taken a mid table Premiership side to relegation to the Championship, followed by a fire sale of the Clubs squad without any meaningful re-investment to strengthen the squad."

If you were that interested in the future well being, running & development of the club. Why would you appear do all you can not to prevent them dropping out of the biggest money making football league in the world.
Especially as they're apparently, as you say, in it for the long haul...
If they'd pulled out all the stops in the last couple of seasons & we still fell through the trap-door, I wouldn't say so much. But they 'NEVER'. They allowed us to drop & now it's all about rebuilding & starting again ..

Not only that, we are rebuilding from the cheapest point possible. Graham Potter hasn't being given the luxury of one or two players who could do damage at Championship level to give us a fighting chance of finishing well up the table. Anything that has a value has been sold.

"Look at the League table" I hear people say. I prefer to look at the pitch and it's clear to most fans that we won't sustain our current League position unless the squad is bolstered quickly and effectively.

Until the Yanks get us back to the position where we were when they bought the Club, I will regard them as failures. .

Someone above makes an interesting point about buying back old players......with unpaid selling balances. Does this really happen? It implies that the big sales that have happened have not resulted in the cash expected? That will have a huge effect on the running cash balances and severely limit trading.
As for the fire sale, that's inevitable....there's a big hole to fill from lost revenue. I presume WBA are risking it all on getting back or can stand a huge loss. I've never looked at their accounts and what they achieved year on year with their trampoline strategy.
You went up well and stayed there by spending cash till it was not enough. HJ's stated intent when he sold out was to get someone in who could take you to the next level by spending the necessary but instead he got diverted to look after his own pocket and sold to the highest bidder. If one looks at he Chinese (potential) bid, this might have been a better deal for the club...altho' there are suggestions that the Chinese in general are pulling back form football ventures now.
The Yanks are just a bunch of 27 who chucked 3 million apiece into a hat led by two guys who excited them by such ownership and the promise of dividends. Let's be honest....the worst that can happen to them now is they lose about half (assuming it's a tax deduction). But they are unlikely to be inveigled into chucking more dosh in.

It's like when you were the only one who could see the investment the Yanks were going to make. Where is it? <laugh>
