Well, well, well... From the Sky write up of the game...

"Cardiff played the better football for much of the game, but it was a direct approach that helped the visitors pull a goal back."

Not something we've seen much over the last 4 or 5 years... The second half of the sentence shows we're still adapting to our new style but encouraging signs.

We outpassed them and had the same number of "long" passes.
More accuracy and more in the opposition half...

The times they are a changing.

I'm home from the Carribean !!!!! well done Blubuds, a good fighting point at smelly brummies, two good games for both CCFC's today, can't believe we had 22 shots at goal with 12 on target but only scored 1 !!!! Don't think I'm getting down on Boxing Day sadly :undecided: but it should be another cracker between us.

We can’t be any worse than we were in the reverse fixture<doh>
If and it’s a huge if, we’re ahead going into injury time we’ll need to be doubly alert given you state you’ve gained 15 points in injury time alone <yikes>

Thoroughly enjoyed the trip yesterday and great to come away with a point after failing to go ahead in the first half and gifting Birmingham two goal scoring opportunities. We always looked the better side once the three subs came on and well deserved our two goals. Great support as usual from the Bluebirds fans who contributed massively to the tribute to Arthur Labinjo-Hughes on 6 minutes. Respect to everyone. Neil Etheridge came over before the game to acknowledge the fans. Pity he didn't play. Traffic in the area of the ground was awful, it took a while to get away after the game. It seems to me they are rebuilding all the major roads there. Not sure if I travelled through the Birmingham clean air zone - will have to wait for the fine in the post if I did.!

It's six of one, half a dozen of the other Nin. I'm not a fan of Collins either. His best attributes is that he's strong, causes trouble and is a pain in the backside for the opposition. He draws defenders out of position, but that's only effective if there's someone up there around him to take advantage of the gaps he creates.

However, him and Moore can provide the platform for others, and that's the problem. We have no wingers. Ng and Giles are not the answer as an attacking force out wide. We also have no quick midfield runners to fill those gaps. We're static in going forward in support of the strikers and abysmally slow recovering from lost balls up front as evidenced yesterday.

Hey BT, so long as you don't have a gas guzzling tank like some on here :emoticon-0105-wink: then you'll be ok even if you did.
I was up in Brum a couple of weeks back and there was no charge applicable for cars generally (certainly my ancient Civic didn't incur one). <cheers>

Thanks Brizzle . I have checked the website and I am ok. Just as well I changed for a hybrid last year. I see I can also drive through Bath. Might just go there just for the hell of it. This just the thin end of the wedge, there will be more of these zones etc to get the gas guzzlers off the road

nin, you can rest easy it's only 8 points gained in injury time, it's 15 gained from losing positions. still not a bad return tho

That's a small tank - and I hope it's not red if you're taking it to Brum.

    256 litre tank.
Yes, I get red delivered 1000 litres at a time.

Might take me a while though. 16th gear, redlining it at 2400rpm gives me 28mph.<doh>

Bloke near me (I can see his back yard from my house) has a new Ford Pickup that he uses exclusively on the road. I reguarly see him syphoning 25 litre clear plastic jacks of red into it. Don't know where he gets it from, but he's using it on the road and nowhere near a farm. Can't bring myself to shop him though, but it pisess me off every time I see him do it.
