Yeah agree on that, I just think we need to give Best a bit more credit. He works hard, has got decent pace, decent finisher(shown by the West Ham game) & has got a bit of everything, not saying he's a ''complete'' forward or something but with some improvements(heading ability, staying onside, etc) to his game he can become a decent PL striker who is worthy of being in the squad.

I know it doesnt make a massive difference but Best also had a perfectly good goal against Arsenal ruled out. So excluding the hat trick, 4 in 10 sounds better than 3 in 10.

Decent player to have in the squad IMO, you cant have 4 top strikers, need some squad players.

Overseas - I'm surprised they needed lube for the slippery little Wise. I thought he would have just slid straight in there, like a rat up a drainpipe.

Next season if I was Pards I would go with:

    New signing striker 1
    New signing striker 2
    Best
    Lovenkrands

I would loan out Ranger and try and flog Shola

Why not just say 6 in 10 instead of taking away 3 goals he scored and adding 1 he didn't

was delighted when we signed him as he has looked quality at times but he had a dissapointing start to the season, after that he looked like becoming a decent striker hes still onyl young 24 i think? i doubt birmingham will want to shell out for him given his form and age, i dont think he will want to leave either as he was just starting to cement himself as our no.1 striker before he was injured. i wouldnt want to see him go, neither do i routledge who i think has a lot of potential and i never understood why we loaned him tbh

I like Best. Really made the most of his chance this year and would be disappointed to see him leave.

He's much better than any other striker we currently have. So selling him would be foolish unless we have 2 better ones coming in. Even then I'd like him to stay and Shola/Lovens to leave instead.

out of what we have now I'd say Sameobi and Best where the most useful.

You'll never flog Ameobi. Them pictures are damning! And any deal involving him would have to involve him still turning out for us in the derby. I'm not convinced the League will allow it!

I love Best, after last season it would be unfair if he didn't get at least a chance next year

If they want Best then they'll have to cough up some money(2m+++) and offer us either Johnson or Dann in the deal! <ok>

£5m+Zigic and they can have him. AKA GET LOST BRUM!

As already stated, as it stands he is in our starting lineup when fit and even if we were to sign two quality strikers he'd still be in the matchday squad. Can't we remind them that Alan Smith used to play as a striker?
