I'll be honest Thai I can't remember that one. I saw us come back from 0-2 to draw 2-2 against Man Utd and there was a blizzard during the game but my memory is such that I could not name the year for that. Can anyone help?

That Middlesbrough game is one of my favourite games, mainly for the Adam Drury fourth! I missed the 2-0 over Man U at CR that year and it haunts me to this day.

I'm just glad that this thread has distracted you away from sticking your Knives into Hughton and each other for 5 minutes! I support the Hughton inners by the way! <whistle>

it's true - hughton has made us an absolute shambles <doh>

look, i don't understand the flimsy reasons they give for wanting a change but even those who want hughton removed (and they are few and far between) all tend to agree that he's actually done a pretty decent job in bringing in some quality players and keeping us up after what could have been a very difficult situation when lambert left, was averted. surely the only reason you'd want hughton to stay (if you're a binner) is if you genuinely believe he'll get us relegated - most city fans who dislike him dislike him for his supposed limitations in terms of style, not because they think we'll get relegated under him, so guru and warky's continuous, sarcastic drivel about 'wanting him to stay' doesn't really work (surprise surprise).

surely you'd be better off wanting him to leave in the hope we make a bad call with his replacement and upset the applecart?

the thing supers you say most want to stay, probably on this forum you are correct, but on other forums contributed to by Norwich fans (i.e Pink un, canary call etc) by the own admission of most on here want him to go. so unless you have done your own opinion poll of fans across the spectrum of NCFC, how can you tell?

are you saying the majority on here are right, and the majority on the other sites are wrong? thats a pretty self rightous attitude if that is what you are saying.

As to the question of will he get you relegated, yes i do believe that, also you guys had a fantastic oppotunity and we can see that he is not the guy to make maximum effect from it.

you have to remember that most people who participate in forums are those who want a platform to be heard - the vast majority of these people are those who moan - moan about everything in fact!

if you were inside the ground at the villa game, when there was a section of fans booing (maybe 500 or so) from one area of the ground, everyone else seemed pretty flabbergasted by it. certainly all the folk around me in the barclay were extremely angry about it. it is a small minority who want action, a bigger section are a little in between the two - don't want him out but would like to see improvement - i think that's perfectly fair. by reading these pages most days it is absolute nonsense that most people on here want him to go - its more like 10% want him to go, 50% want to see improvement and 40% are very satisfied.

you only ever seem to get polar opposites on forums such as these and in actual fact, i'd say this one in particular contains a very sensible proportion of fans and as a cross section, it is about as close as you'll get to the overall view.

if you go on the pink'un, for example, it will be in total meltdown at every bad result we get. if we win, its the complete opposite and we are the best thing since sliced bread. the reality is, we are somewhere between the two. judging by mr mcnally's tweets the other day, he won't be making any changes with regards the management of the club - he appeared to find it all a bit ridiculous how a handful of fans overreacted to the villa game.

thank god we've got a ceo who can relate to football matters without the intervention of idiot fans who can't even spell our managers name correctly. no matter who is in charge of the team, it will always be possible for us to go down but i fancy our chances of surviving to be much higher if we stick to our long term plan rather than panic.

just to add to that, if you check out our facebook page you'd see that its about 90% want him out! however, there are only about 20 people who contribute to the site regularly and all the sensible posters have been forced away because they cannot stand the negativity! i know a few have had the same issue on here recently...

I admit a bit of that was to wum supers, but to perfectly frank Rob, this is a wum thread towards us ipswich fans, and we have all been having a bit of fun and laugh at each other and its been light hearted.

so whats your point, or have you really had a humour bypass?
