    hypothetically speaking, if Liverpool were to sign another striker come Jan - how much do you think it would take to buy Carroll from them?

    Not that I would want him back at NUFC, but what's his current worth?

    His current value? Probably only about 12mil or so. But Liverpool would want at least 20/25 I imagine.

    I'd actually like it to happen for that amount, as they would have effectively paid us >£10m for a 12 month loan deal <laugh>

    I would actually have him back if he told us that he was wrong to leave, regretted leaving, and had his head turned by all the money offered to him. Think it's easy to foget how young most of the players are.
