What makes you believe that so unquestioningly? It's just a negotiating technique. As I've said already, if no-one pays the full amount, we will obviously accept less in the end, but you'd be stupid to say you will accept less at the start.

If he's desperate then why hasn't offered a reduction in his wage?
Not saying he should, but the argument can be turned round. In the "real" world, if you were seconded out to another company not only would they cover your wages but would give your own company a profit too! Obviously the football community don't live on our world though.
