As many expected, Sharp is linking up with Nigel at Reading.

He's already with the Reading squad ahead of tomorrow's game against Derby.

See they have also signed Chris Baird. Surprised he stayed a free agent for so long, will certainly do a good job in the Championship.

More good reasons for following Reading this season....Baird and Bridgey from our 03 cup final team and Billy from our promotion team.
I really hope that Nigel gets them up this season and maybe Billy will get a shot at the top league.

Good on him. Good player at Championship level - Adkins will use him well. I suspect he'll turn up scoring a good handful.

Never thought he would be fast enough for the Premiership. It's a shame it took a year on the bench to move him back to the right level. What a waste!

A year on the bench? He played the whole of last season in the Championship for Forest. He wasn't very good.

So are they paying 100%?

Good signing and hope adkins gets him scoring. Don't see him making it in the PL but there's no shame in that. He is a good striker and fits in well as the 2nd forward in a 4-4-2 formation.

Sharp seems very similar to Le Fondre - strange signing !

Is Sharp a necessary signing for Reading? Probably not. As you say, they have Le Fondre.

A bit of a luxury? Yes, probably. A bit of a case of a manager going with a personal favourite of his/someone he knows? Yes, probably. A player who can only help aid their promotion push? Yes, probably.

So many reasons to wish Reading the best of luck.

Adkins told Reading Post after the 3-1 win over Derby that there is "no deal yet" but the reporters say he has been dropping hints and had "a glint in his eye".
