He has reportedly stated that if PNE were relegated he would be going. He will be out of contract as well so I think we can forget all about Jones staying at PNE. Both Wolves and Everton are supposedly interested in signing him, and there could be others. I am sure given the choice he would go to a Prem club.
When he does go it will be good luck to him deserves a shot at the big time unlike the pillocks on the board who forgot to give him a new contract therefore we get no fee for him.
Thats not true themclad he wasn't offered a contract because he had already said he would'nt be signing until he was sure we would be in the championship and even then he might not have signed a new contract.
Its called keeping your options open.
