Turns out that fraudulently claiming London can host an Olympics for £3bn and following that up by getting your cronies at UK Athletics a shiny new stadium they will never fill at the taxpayer's expense are ideal qualities to be named head of world athletics.

Somehow nobody mentioned that when Seb Coent proved once again that ****, rather than cream, rises to the top.

Donald Trump has suggested that some of those born in the US should not be American citizens, despite the constitution guaranteeing exactly that.

I’m with him. I will support a motion for the constitution to be amended to revoke the US citizenship of exactly one person: Donald Trump.

Then again, fair being fair, perhaps everyone descended from anyone who did not come here through fully legal channels, or who degraded the quality of life of the inhabitants, should be rounded up and shipped out.

But I’m not sure where 300 million of us could go.

If there’s anything more ridiculous than non-Indian Americans talking about the immigration problem, I can’t think of what it is.

People in the US started calling Indians Native Americans in the eighties. It rapidly became the preferred PC designation. Then someone decided to ask Indians what they preferred. The overwhelming answer was "Indians." It makes sense. It’s a misnomer, of course, and it has a lot of bad associations. But it’s a name people got used to, and unlike some other ethnic designations has more positive than negative associations.

I tried "First People" for a while, which seemed okay till I started talking about individuals and felt like I was leading a grammar workshop. So Indians it is, for me, unless and until I can find something better.

The first time was in 2001 when he was a teenager - for amphetamine which he attributed to medication for ADHD.

But in 2006, he got banned when he tested positive for testosterone, which is a different kettle of fish. He was banned for eight years, which was reduced to four.

Four years seems extremely lenient for someone for a second offence, whatever the excuse. As you say, once is careless, but twice..........
The 100m is the blue riband event of athletics. It's taking the biscuit:emoticon-0105-wink: not to impose a substantial ban - even a lifetime ban. What message does it send out? Recent evidence from blood tests would suggest there has been little deterrent effect for other drugs cheats.
 
Anyone watching LA v NYC in the MSL ? Gerrard, Robbie Keane and Dos Santos all feature, but no Fat Frank. Even allowing for the heat, this is almost playing football at walking pace.
