Different surface, sliding about on clay suits his style, the fresh grass at Wimbledon grips which puts more stress though his knee.

He needs to do the exact opposite - his knees are buggered, and given his backhand was off he might have a wrist or elbow injury as well.
He sacked off the match after losing the 2nd set (tiebreak). He'd have found it easier in the 2nd week when the court is drier and plays slower.
Sensible decision to sack it off. Rest the knee for the Hard Court Season and leave this surface for the serve bots and speed merchants to scrap it out.
Helps Murray as he'd never have beaten a fully fit Nadal on a slower grass court. Him and Djokovic in the final IMO.

Careful DL, those who didn't know better might begin to think that you don't rate the Brits very highly at sports![]()
Lendl has brought Murray's game on leaps and bounds. He's stopped the moonballing and playing for unforced errors and now is a really aggressive player that dictates points with powerful groundstrokes and good tactical play.
Murray aside, Britain has no hope of a GS/Wimbledon winner in at least 10-20 years.
Forgive my ignorance but what on god's earth is 'Moonballing'? Sounds like something we used to do on buses to old ladies....the standard 'Moony' but we'd also pull down the pants a touch more to reveal a dangler or both. you lost points if someone flicked your bollock and it made an audible slap on your bum.
Anyway, not heard this term, what is it? cheers

Deep, high baseline hitting with the sole purpose of making opponent make unforced errors.
Imagine hitting a ball up at the moon, akin to "skying the ball", turn of phrase used in football.

Rumour has it, that our shirt sponsor for this season will be Hewlett Packard.
