I've never understood prayer.
"Excuse me, bloke who knows everything and has a plan for every aspect of existence."
"I know you're busy, but could you change a few things for me in your perfect plan? Ta."
I love the way miracles work. You have some natural disaster (nothing to do with G of course) thousands die but then a dog gets saved and Hallelujah, it's a miracle!

This is well worth a watch. It's all about accents and dialects across Britain. Prompted by the Germans recording some British prisoners in the First World War so people can hear their relatives speaking from 1917. That's interesting and quite moving but the real star for me is the presenter and Voice Scientist, Joan Washington. She is just amazing with her mastery of accents. Sadly she has died. She was the wife of Richard E. Grant for 40 years.

There are many reasons why I love Mrs B...and they increased this morning when I heard her informing one of her colleagues...

"When I get to your office, I don't want to see or hear about officers sitting around watching the funeral. Everywhere's shut, so today, we know where these bastards are going to be. Every able bodied officer needs to be out making arrests. When I arrive in custody, I want to see it overflowing..."

I would have been nice to see them cuff the blonde haired clown when he arrived at the Abbey and maybe the nonce prince after his mothers funeral

I thought how wonderful Joan Washington was and had no idea who she was when I first saw this programme, since her death Richard E Grant has done many tributes to his late wife

You may know that Richard has written a book due out on the 29th September. I have preordered a copy on Amazon.

Lloris also nominated for Save of the Month for his late on against Fulham.
Danny Ward's save against us included, too.
