my searching seems to be below par.
I hope Jimmy Greaves enjoyed his 80th birthday to-day. I remember his first game in Plymouth in 1961. It was the furthest we ever travelled for a reserve game. I think plymouth had a record crowd for the season that day!
Maggie, Jimmy was without doubt the best striker that I have seen I was lucky enough to have seen that goal against Newcastle where he left 1/2 their team on the floor and a chip against Burnley from outside the box but most of all it was his one on one finishing that was top draw , if Jimmy was through then you knew you could start celebrating
Fair play to r/coys, they have a better approach to Harry ****espout than NewsNow does...
McDonalds have invented the bacon roll apparently.
And they serve them in "restaurants".
..and the old man used to have a go at me for wearing my shoes out kicking a ball about! Times change!!!!?
Jimmy scored a penalty v Gordon Banks. Banksy wasn't ready. The goal stood...….and Banks went spare!!!!
My favourite was a semi final very early goal v Notts Forest in a semi final at Hillsborough. We weren't expected to win that one.Forest were on a tare.....followed up by a cracker from dear old Frank Saul to win the game.
So the ads Sky Bet (not Sky Sports, Sky Bet) are running for the Cheltenham festival involve their football pundits running for their lives before being trampled to death by horses
I mean there's wishful thinking...
Dele Alli has been charged for being a twat:
He should just accept it, apologise and get it out of the way.
He already apologised (although as you say it was a twattish thing to do), and he apologised pretty quickly. This charge however reeks of "being seen to do something", and "we'll take offence on behalf of someone else who are probably offended".
I wonder if this charge would have happened if Sterling had done it? Well as we know, Sterling is as pure as the driven slush so he couldn't possibly do something bad. Oh, hang on a minute, wasn't he the guy that launched an unprovoked attack on his England team mate? Well that was a physical assault and is clearly worse than putting something on social media and almost instantly withdrawing it. Not if you listen to most of the pundits. According to them, people are hitting each other all the time in training, so how dare we accuse Sterling of anything. Except none of them referred to anything happening off the training field - like in the canteen. If you recall, this campaign pro-Sterling went so far that in the game where Gomez came on, he was booed by a small section of England "fans". Anyway, I digress but the point is that reactions tend to be based on the person rather than the crime.
Do you mean the Sterling with 'that' tatoo:
Which is non-offensive?
Do we know what the likely punishment will be?
I've seen a one-match ban suggested
So no doubt he'll get five...
He needs to grow up and get over himself. This could be a blessing in disguise in the long run. IF it humbles him enough that the young, grounded, hungry Dele makes a return after a 2 year hiatus, it'll be worth it.
I think I've worked out our formation...

Well it could easily offend someone couldn't it. Apparently (allegedly) it's in tribute to his father who I doubt he remembers since I don't think he saw him after the age of 5. But add that to a long list of problems that he's been given a free ride over. Plus, more importantly, he so rarely turns up internationally. Sure people can quote the good bits, but they are so few and far between, it can easily be argued that a "lesser" more consistent player would be far better for the team. I mentioned it before but at the first match of the Euros, I watched the game in a pub and he was so bad that the whole place was just laughing when he tried to do something. It was one of the worst performances by an England player ever, worst because he is (apparently) better than that and didn't deliver, which makes him worse than the oft quoted less gifted players who were bad but tried hard.
Please don't void this years prem, we would never hear the last of it
Yep, definitely void this season. All good. No complaints.
