Got off at Turkey St station an hour ago, and there were quite a few Korean teenie/20 somethings there, on both platforms. Some had bags from the club shop. Not an expected demographic for that parish, so I was wondering given that station is the closest to the training ground, whether the club + Sonny have been doing some PR stuff today for the Korean audience.
Sad loss to a player that graced the Lane , was he given the praise he deserved after his transfer which saw Jimmy Greaves go to West Ham Thinking back he was someone who would not look out of his depth in the modern game RIP Martin
I drive past the training ground most days and a majority of the kids outside are Korean , they wait hours for Sonny and a couple of times I have seen him stop for them ( think it's him as there is a scrum around the car)
Always impressed by their devotion to him those kids are out in all weathers and it's not an easy place to get to
WARNING If you receive a link to Chris Kamara sings Christmas Carols do not open it, repeat do not open it as it really is Chris Kamara singing carols
To be fair, it ain't that bad. He looks like Lionel Richie, but he sings better than him. Not quite Nat Cole, but strong second division - just like he was as a footballer.
Compliments of the festive season to all the like minded football fans that post here - or as Edumnd Blackadder would say - 'Greetings! I trust Christmas brings you its traditional mix of good food and violent stomach cramp'. Have a good one COYS
Really, I had better get my ears checked , leave it to Nat, Bing,Frank, Deano, Matt, Tony, and Sammy if you want a crooner l heard his Christmas song on the radio this week , what a dogs dinner
I used to use a pub in Turkey Street until they knocked the gorgeous place down. Don't remember seeing any Koreans in those days. Are they immigrants?
