It's a Liverpool FC version of Luke's favourite rock band, The Ramones' logo. Imagine the Spurs logo in red and you're somewhere near how much he hates that image.
Just a reminder that today's the day that bad **** happens. For example... April 15th 1861 - Abraham Lincoln calls for a militia of 75,000 and ends up staring the American Civil War April 15th 1865 - Abraham Lincoln goes to the theatre, gets shot in the head by John Wilkes Booth April 15th 1892 - Thomas Edison founds the General Electric company April 15th 1912 - RMS Titanic sinks April 15th 1936 - a roadside shooting starts the Arab revolt in Palestine, which lasts until 1939 April 15th 1940 - Jeffrey Archer born. Many terrible novels follow... April 15th 1941 - the Belfast Blitz April 15th 1955 - the first franchised McDonalds opens, dooming arteries and waistlines forevermore April 15th 1959 - Emma Thompson born, and from then all all English actresses are expected to speak like nobody in real life ever does April 15th 1970 - Cambodians massacre hundreds of Vietnamese and dump the corpses in the Mekong river April 15th 1982 - in a bad advertisement for reincarnation, Arthur Lowe dies and Seth Rogen is born April 15th 1984 - Tommy Cooper died during a live broadcast, with the crowd applauding assuming his fatal heart attack was part of his act April 1t5h 1988 - Kenneth Williams dies after a barbiturates overdose that may or may not have been deliberate April 15th 1989 - Hillsborough/the beginning of the Tiananmen Square protests April 15th 1990 - in another bad advertisement for reincarnation, Greta Garbo dies while Emma Watson is born April 15th 2001 - Joey Ramone dies April 15th 2013 - Boston Bombing April 15th 2014 - Boko Haram kidnap 250+ schoolgirls/200+ South Sudanese murdered in Bentiu massacre And that's the short list!
April 15th 2018 - Arsenal lose a 5th straight away game for the first season since 1984. Every cloud and all that...
Wonders of VAR..... A penalty was awarded after players had already left the pitch for half-time in Mainz's Bundesliga win over relegation rivals Freiburg on Monday. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43791511 Sorry-just seen it was posted on the UEFA watch thread
Guido Winkmann certainly sounds like a vaudeville act, as well as a character The Simpsons will passive aggressively attempt to say isn't a racial stereotype...
Just watched an episode of DIY SOS - its a lifestyle prog where needy people have their homes renovated for free. Anyway this episode takes place in Welwyn Garden City and one of the main people in the crew is a bloke called Jimmy (a local boy there), during a close up of him I noticed that he had a Spurs badge on his lapel. Wondered if anyone else has seen this programme it quite a bit decent and there's a yiddo in it!
Find 16 mins and 4 seconds in your busy life to enjoy this. What a footballer. There was only one thing that he couldn't do....regularly get in the England team. No bloody wonder we've never looked like winning anything in 52 years.
Cheers for posting that, Brian. Made my day! Hope the current crop see that too and realise what true genius is. Not knocking anyone, but watching that video made me think that Hoddle was more than the sum of Eriksen & Dele combined. And I have no doubt that he would have survived and flourished in the present days mega-fitness focused game. The only downside? The dirty feeling of watching and lauding his skill when he was wearing a certain royal blue shirt......
Not football but I needed a laugh....and got it. A 49 year old British Airways pilot arrested before he "took off"......because he was drunk! Reminded me of a film I watched years ago called "Pilot" starring Cliff Robertson. He kept his booze on board and helped himself. He was a brilliant pilot when he'd had a few!!!!!......but finally a hostess gave him away and he got sacked. He would fly his airliner very low so his passengers could get a good view!
Not the sort of music I’m into, but I’d be amazed if you haven’t heard his music. There was a time a few years ago where you couldn’t go a day without hearing “wake me up” on the radio, in a shop, or on a TV advert. It was so over played.
He co-wrote and produced it and he's the DJ in the video. Song was everywhere for quite a while. Sold loads and the video has nearly 1.5bn views. Sounds like he drank himself to death, unfortunately.
Oh THAT one!! Cheers lads........ Just read he was earning £180k a night DJ'ing.....that's a feckin' lot of beer vouchers!
