What exactly has Vidic done in the last year? Thiago Silva should've walked in at centreback. I'd have had Marcelo at left back, Ramos is certainly no left back :D

You get the feeling they just panic and think they won't get a vote next year if they don't vote for Barca and Real players. It was much better when they were biased to their own country and players like Gerrard were in with a shout <whistle>

Cheating is becoming less and less frowned upon, particularly on the continent* so it's no surprise that Alves gets picked, or Ronaldo for that matter.


*it's only players from big teams that can cheat in the UK.
 
Is everyone just given a ballot with the Real and Barca teams, plus another 11 picked by Nike or something?
 
The team of the year's fairly unimportant though, I suppose. Hulk, Falcao, Cavani and RVP all had way better years than Rooney too, okay I'll stop getting upset by this now.

I don't have any problem with Newcastle.
Since their relegation, their fans have even reined in their ridiculous delusions, for the most part.
They're really starting to piss me off with this whole Redknapp/Ba thing, though.

I've always said that our manager could do with keeping his own council a little more, so I definitely don't back what he's said.
They're in no position to moan though, as they exploited release clauses to sign Tiote and Cabaye and they were accused of tapping up Maiga this summer.
Pardew openly discussed the possible transfer and Sochaux accused them of tapping him up, reporting them to FIFA.

The misleading reports in the media don't help either.

There was a thread tearing into 'Arry for his Ba comments on the Sunderland board too. Suggestions of hypocrisy after he was complaining about Chelsea's approach for Modric in the summer, which they can't find any evidence for because it didn't happen <doh>

Having tried to have reasonable discussions on many of the other boards, I've found other than one or two posters on each board, almost all are totally incapable of proving anything they say. Special exceptions are Fulham, QPR and to a lesser extent, Arsenal.

The Spurs board is simply the place to be :)

Levy was massively pissed off, but Redknapp was overly accepting of the whole thing, in my opinion.

Yup, hence my surprise. A lot of their posters seem to remember very clearly that Redknapp was outraged by Chelsea's approach but none have a link to him criticising their approach. The only thing close is him scoffing at their bids as well below what he's worth, that's no criticism though.

He felt that £40m would've allowed us to strengthen the squad considerably.
Levy decided to tell Chelsea to stuff their money and got Adebayor for nothing and Parker for £5m, instead.
Hard to argue with the results, at the moment.
