Interesting theory, but why taunt Spurs fans with 7 league titles and 1 European Cup rather than 20 & 3 - with most of those won in living memory and not in the Victorian or Edwardian eras? There's a deleted comment on that thread suggesting that you actually were Holte yourself, Lidls.![]()

WUMs often use multiple accounts with various teams. Allegedly.Interesting theory, but why taunt Spurs fans with 7 league titles and 1 European Cup rather than 20 & 3 - with most of those won in living memory and not in the Victorian or Edwardian eras?![]()
First, I hope you feel better very soon. Second, my advice would be to get as many opinions as you can. Professionals are obviously best, but even one of those "enter the symptoms" sites might not be a waste of time. The chances of misdiagnosis is always great, and it sounds like at least one and probably more professionals have failed to diagnose the problem. Always try to find out what the doctors know and why they're recommending what they recommend. What the doctors know is valuable information. The decisions they make based on that knowledge are frequently questionable. The more opinions you get, the more chance you'll find out what the problem is. Watch particularly for when and if two diagnoses coincide. And always try the safest, quickest and easiest treatment first, if you're in doubt. Sometimes very disturbing symptoms can leave as mysteriously as they arrived. I do hope you feel better soon.Yeah, it's not exactly great is it ?
The focus has been on HIV until now due to numerous closely matching symptoms.
Had (urgent - although theyre probably all urgent) blood and poo taken this morning for wider testing.
Nurse who took the blood said theyll let me know if there's anything wrong
So strange. Felt fine last night, woke up spewing foam. Now got the temperature back that I thought had finished a week ago !
I think it'll be alright, but feeling a bit jaded atm !
Edit : anyway, i won't bang on about it on here. Sorry.
Any doctors in the house ?

Im beginning to think it's an insect bite mate.
Yes I was in philippines just before the rash broke out.
They took samples for other tests yesterday, and the doc mentioned malaria etc.
I suspect it's a kind of lighter version of malaria, and ive been a lucky boy re the hiv etc.
Genuine thanks for your kind and wise thoughts and words. Much appreciated.
I'm feeling quite confident since last night, that we will get to the bottom of it fairly quickly now, and that it will prove not to be as terrible as I first thought.![]()
My experience is that Doctors do what they know. Only when they've gone through 'the usual routine' and failed do you get to someone who is paid to listen and think beyond that. A few years back I was told that I definitely had cancer, it was just where that cancer was. I kept telling the doctors of symptoms that suggested something else might be the case. Only after I'd had cameras shoved everywhere I could imagine and they'd found nothing did someone come to me and say...
"What were these other symptoms you said you had?"
Stick with it. Staying positive is THE thing. Thinking of you.
That's very nice of you to say. I'm no professional but believe I've learned something worth passing on from dealing with major health issues in my family.Genuine thanks for your kind and wise thoughts and words. Much appreciated.

This is exactly in line with my experience.Doctors (like many others) get paid to get results quickly. That's one systemic problem with their process: they'll seize on the first sensible course of action. The second is that they have a number of interests other than your best, which include fear of litigation and the fact that they're paid per procedure (in this country, anyway). My experience is that Doctors do what they know. Just to echo this, some friends of mine had a really bad reaction to anti-malaria medication. The Philippines is low risk for malaria but still possible. The rash is the bit that throws me, I never heard of rashes with malaria but I'm not a doctor. I will ask a friend who is a doctor (Ugandan) on Monday. He is an expert on such things, unfortunately he is on leave this weekend.
Furthermore, if you've been taking anti malaria medication, it sometimes masks the test results and you may have had malaria but the test may come back negative. All the sweats, shakes, diahorrea and vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach cramps, halucinations sound pretty malaria like to me.
You could have been really unlucky and picked up Typhoid as well, that would account for the non-malaria symptoms. However, if you've been vaccinated against Typhoid then you are likely to get a false positive in a blood test. I always test positive for Typhoid.
African doctors tend to recommend eating fatty foods after malaria, when I had it I bought a whole box of snickers and washed them down with orange juice. It was a fight to stomach them but they aided recovery.
Good luck and get well soon.
Very sorry to hear about your terrible experiences. God that must have been so frightening.
Many thanks for your kind words. I suspect I might know more in a few days.
