Nice to see England with some flair in the backs. It's often been lacking in the past. It's not coincidental that the pivotal 10 and 12 positions are held by players with good ball handling skills - as you would expect from the sons of former Rugby League internationals.
No, but it can be taught. The off-load in the tackle, delayed, missed and switch passes, screening the ball etc are all skills brought from League to Union and make a team a far more attacking force than the number 10 or 15 kicking at the first opportunity. Ford and Farrell have been brought up to play a passing game.
Plastic Ty. Thinks Monreal plays right back, Ozil centre midfield and Sanchez came directly from Chile. Fairly sure his time in Spain prepared him for our league. Arsenal players in our team. Doing it against their formation Cech v Lloris - Cech may have got the spot 5 years ago, but not now. Bellerin v Walker - Bellerin is a fantastic athlete, but zilch in final product. Walker has the same accusation, but creates more Toby/Jan v Koscielny/Mustafi - our boys are head and shoulders above. Both individually and as a pair Rose v Monreal - not even worth discussing Wanyama v Xacha (sp?) - Big Vic blows him away Dembele v Cazorla - One for them, but not by much. Cazorla is a proper playmaker and brings more players into the game. Wait to see if he regains his form. Eriksen v Walcott - On his day, Eriksen is a class player, his assists are top draw and Walcott is a headless chicken at times Alli v Ozil - Ozil is a class player, but looks lazy and uninterested and for me loses out to Dele's potential and goal scoring threat. Son v Sanchez - Sacrificing Son out on the left, as Sanchez gets in most teams. Eriksen, Alli and Sanchez is probably the best 3 we could put out Kane v Giroud No contest. So -------------------------Lloris Walker----Alderweireld--Vertonghen-----Rose ----------------Cazorla-------Wanyama Eriksen-----------------Alli--------------Sanchez --------------------------Kane 3-4-2-1 Drop Eriksen or Cazorla for Dier
I forgot Cazorla still plays for them. I thought perhaps he was making a living sitting on Citeh's bench or something.
After 272 years, women are now able to apply to become members of Muirfield Golf Club. The work of some radical , bleeding heart left winger, no doubt. No good will come of it, I'm telling you.
Spurs announced Kane has ligament damage...no date of return given. So ... we know what we did on Sunday
Archway Station? Didn't realise that Ty was that local. Most of the rest of the Arsenal Fan TV mob seem to be from elsewhere.
Ty is more Archway sheet mental than "station" . "Didn't realise that Ty was that local." In the Royston Vasey sense, yes.
Absolutely!! Not just on football grounds either. The guy deserves the recognition for his off- field actions as well with young Bradley. A real-life example of a true professional in a world of cheats, divers and prima donnas!
Also congrats in order to Jake Livermore who has also got a call up. Great example that all is not lost if life goes sour for you, but you come through adversity with the right attitude.
The Queens birthday honours list will be out in June, he should be recognised there. Sir Jermain has a nice ring to it, although Lord Defoe of Tottenham sounds better.
