His point about playing him in his correct position is interesting. Where do people think that is? No10, deeper? Wide midfield?

I'm not sure. He's played central midfield, attacking midfield and in off the wing for us, so far. He's been good at all three.
Long term, I think that he might progress like his childhood hero, Gerrard. He had similar shifts over time.
Hopefully he'll not turn into a massive twat and go around punching DJs, though.

Nah he'll just find a way to nutmeg the DJ with a can of redbull and then wave at him while the DJ embraces his embarrassment.

    Hit play on this!

After Dele's nutmegged the DJ, he'll walk over and see Dier performing his "dance" moves <laugh>

I think he’s a striker. His dribbling and ability with his back to the goal are truly outstanding. His pace, finishing and heading are good. Also, his weakness so far is making routine passes. In the hole a la VDV is a nearly equally good option. It should remain a plus to let him play further back as a way to change tactics without switching players, though. Swapping spots with Dembélé helped us beat Palace.

***Wonders if he should remind people he suggested Dier as DM before this year and elects not***

I think primarily as an attacking midfielder but Dele has the ability to play anywhere in midfield and possibly upfront and make an impact. It's a very rare feature to have but if Dele lined up alongside Dier, or just behind Harry or to the left of Eriksen, I genuinely wouldn't be bothered as you'd be guaranteed an all action performance coupled with possible goals and/ or assists.

Incredible talent, has the potential to be one of England's best ever players in my opinion if he keeps on going and improving the way he is. When you think of some of the greats that have played in the centre of the park, from Hoddle to Gascoigne to Scholes to Gerrard & Lampard, I think Dele can be the next generation player to make that esteemed list.

Disgraceful yet again from one of world football's persistent offenders. A paltry fine means nothing to teams with considerable financial clout. Until they start docking points for every incident like this, the d*ckheads will never stop.

Fair play to Koulibaly and the ref for handling it so well <applause>

Closing sections of the ground? It's Italy. They don't fill them anyway.
Lazio's average attendance has been 22,248 this season. Their capacity is 70,634.
Perhaps they'd get a few more people turning up if they did something about the racist twats in their crowd?

I'll never forget that pillock Di Canio with his numerous nazi salutes to the Lazio crowd, afterwards claiming 'I am a fascist, not a racist', which is basically the same thing as saying 'I am a tree, not a collection of leaves' <doh>

A minimum of 5 points docked for every such incident would see it all magically disappear within weeks.

So for years now I have had an account with a bookie, purely to bet small amounts on SPURSY.
Basically we all know what this means. Spurs to mess up.
My theory is I am very unlucky at gambling-which is why I don't generally, and never big stakes. So it is like reverse psychology with the bookies.
I bet that Spurs will mess it up-I am happy to pay that they don't, and if they do, at least I get some income. And I bet that our rivals will win. I will always bet that Woolwich win.

Anyway to my point. I have never had to top up the account. Until now. What a great feeling. Yesterday was a highlight-Spursy would definitely not have won yesterday.

Phil McNumpty outed his own early season comment.

"Ranieri's appointment is, at best, left field and at worst uninspiring and unwise. A charming man but perhaps one out of time with the Premier League, having last worked there with Chelsea in 2004 and having had a chequered career since."

So having done that in a new article about who can win the league he talks up Ranieri and Leicester and mentions their rivals for the league City and Arsenal without a word for the team lying second.

    McNumpty indeed!

I am in Hong Kong for a few days.
There used to be a bar in Wan Tsai called Delaneys, which showed Spurs
PL matches in the upstairs section.

They are sadly no longer there (although even in a jet-lagged state I probably avoided
having kittens anyway going by the match thread) . :(

It was very comfortable until the last 10 minutes - which lasted about an hour.
