Seems like the Spurs obsession amongst the chelsea fans has returned with thread upon thread about our club......twats the lot of them....and i knew that love in a few weeks ago what with DL worming his way back onto our board..was nothing but a ****.

Any one know if Harry and his staff have been contacted with jobs at other clubs I wonder?
Or is it too early while they enjoy their termination payouts at Southend Pier...or somewhere else......?

Just looking for stuff on our recent friendly against Watford. I'm finding it hard to believe, but it seems the ref was Mr "T Kettle". You just can't make it up!

Spurs former player Lee Barnard lines up against Sutton United tonight.

Top lad is Lee Barnard. Still buys his own season ticket for the Park Lane end apparantly. Not sure how often he gets to use it, but fair play to him for getting one. He's just been transfer listed by Southampton and would be a decent signing for a championship club.

Sutton 4 Southampton 0,it finished last night. It was mainly the saint's u21 side, that will be playing in the newly formed league, with one or 2 first teamer's,Lee Barnard was the Saint's Captain.

I saw a load of Portsmouth fans on their way into Kingsmeadow on Wednesday night when I was on the bus. Didn't see whether they were playing Kingstonian or AFC Wimbledon because I was on the way to play football myself. Seems like the south coasters both headed up to the same area for friendlies at the sametime though.

They were playing AFC Wimbledon YV and won 2-0. I've seen Pompey in pre-season and the manager has scrambled together a reasonable looking squad there and I hope very soon they can begin to look upwards.

Good to hear, it's not good to see such a well supported club struggle so badly to just stay open.

Congrats to Jake Livermore & Steven Caulker England call up

Really pleased for them too. Just wish the friendly wasn't such **** timing.

Good to see Roy's looking to the future in his squad, I just hope it continues as it's going to be very difficult for them against Italy who showed our first choice side up at the Euros. He's been very generous to Liverpool in leaving out any players with a chance of playing games for the club and I don't know why Richards still can't get int the squad, I'm starting to think he shagged Bernstein's grandma.

Newsnow obviously hasn't been updated on some of our transfers, as it flagged the Rochdale v Barnsley game in which Ben Alnwick's a participant:

"There’s Extra Time at Spotland as Ben Alnwick practically handed Rochdale a penalty and subsequent extra time which means Bobby Hassell will play half an hour in goal at least."
Penalty, red card, equaliser from Rochdale to make it 2-2 with 92.47 on the clock. <doh>
Barnsley now winning 4-3 in extra time, meaning that they're actually better without him and minus a man, presumably.

Why the hell would you use the 131 going to or coming from Kingston/surrounding areas? 57 all day mate. And get out of South London <grr>

I was going to Goals in Raynes Park/New Malden. Normally I get a lift from Raynes Park station but someone threw themself under a train at New Malden so I got off at Kingston and bussed it. The 57 cuts out the area I needed to go to. I used to live in Wimbledon so don't tell me about South(-West) London :p

Typical.

I'm glad you left Wimbledon though, your kind aren't wanted around these parts, this is CFC territory ;)

I know a lot of you doubted Ben Alnwick, well be ready to eat your words.

Ben Alnwick. Remember him? He was on our books for a number of years and was probably a better hide and seek champion than he was a goalkeeper.

He was finally shoehorned out of Tottenham during the summer and joined Barnsley on a free transfer. His career with the Championship side has got off to the worst possible start after he was sent off Saturday’s Capital One Cup victory over Rochdale for a headbutt.

The red card has left Tykes boss Keith Hill furious, and without a senior goalkeeper.

“I have to bring in another goalkeeper because Lukas isn’t ready,” he told BBC Radio Sheffield.

“Ben had the ball in his hands and it’s just unexplainable what has happened. It was petulant.

“The ramifications of Ben being sent off are probably greater than if we’d been knocked out. We’d done a lot of work on him starting the season and that’s now gone out of the window.”
