To be fair, Man City could also do it until they had a billion quid pumped into them. We'd have sorted that out for quarter of the amount.
Any one of a number of minor changes to history, the Stoke game, the City game, the Adebayor disallowed goals, the ref in the Arsenal Norwich match doing his job, Fulop, Barca or Bayern scoring penalties and we would be through. I am gutted.

You're wrong. Everton went out in CL qualifiers that year. We had 5 teams in CL, although Everton conspired to make it 4 pretty quickly. They also lost their first game in the Eufa Cup and so were out of Europe completely almost instantly.
Umm yeah.... Pienaar's Twitter profile say "Official Twitter Page of Everton and South Africa National Team Captain Steven Pienaar" - seems he has cut all affiliation with Spurs. Seems he's lookign for a way back North in a hurry!

Roo..i want to belive you(infact i do believe you)..and of course we see obvious bias during matches...but i feel as though..there is alwsys some kind of an excuse for our downfall.
i mentiond in another thread also that if it is not one thing holding us back then it is another..however we can guarantee that it will be something.
if it isnt wages its the management not paying attention..if it is not that then it is players making noises to dismantle us...if its not that then its a ref who ballsed game up for us ..a game that would make so much diffrence in that particular week of the EPL.....its always something with us...it seems to have become part of the nature of our club that there is always one piece of the jigsaw that will go missing and dismatle our season..eventuality and almost subliminal acceptance puts paid to any inner strength we have as a club to get to that final destination.

Its quite simple to me - if the CL is corrupt then i don't care that we are not in it. Its the hypocritical attitude that 'UEFA make sure that Barcelona win, but Chelsea win its fair and square' that gets me. Either UEFA are sorting out the winners or they are not.....I think they are not but you can't have it both ways.

Karma is a load of bollox..if it had an ounce of truth in it then everyone would taste glory and everyone would taste loss..but its not like that....and karma would have made sure that Spurs didnt get dragged into the balls up that UEFA made and our 38 game season deemed as useful as a mid table teams season.
