How we all loved Steptoe back in 1962. So different, so funny. I met them both when they visited a record shop and they signed my LP which I had recently been given for my birthday (not bought in said shop) and 'AROLD added a horseshoe, signing it 'Herc' for the horse Hercules They were both lovely and I still have it along with my Tony Hancock & Peter Sellars!
Maybe it’s because they were on when I was a kid because my dad liked watching them but I always watch stepson and son when I see it. One of them programs like on the buses that is easy to watch and doesn’t get boring
I met Harry H one day on the Grand Union Canal in Watford where he was making a film called the Bargee , it's a real rarity , it had Ronnie Barker, Richard Briers ,Eric Sykes and Julia Foster , Dad and me were walking our dog along the canal tow path when the dog raced off and joined in the filming, the crew went mental as he spoiled the scene but Harry Corbett made a big fuss of him and Erik Sykes gave the dog a sandwich which for a Staffie that made you a friend for life
This is the first time I've seen this since watching it live Just love the age of the kids watching we will never see the like again sadly Peter Taylor's move for the 4th goal The space on the terrace and the cut out behind the goal at the park lane end
Loved this! One good thing about being relegated was that so many more kids could go as the general attendance dropped considerably. Another was we were a 'cut above' most 2nd division teams IIRC.
Only car involved and he'd just had another back surgery the other day. Probably shouldn't have been driving. Not his first crash and he's been caught driving under the influence, too.
