Hadn't forgotten about that, sort of thought that might have done him some good getting experience of coaching overseas. I personally think he is a fairly safe pair of hands, will get them organised, and more difficult to beat. With the players the Spammers have, he should be able to mould them into some sort of effective force.

Considering they had Allardyce for years it'll be just like old times.
Both Irvine and Pearce never really made it has managers, but both are good coaches. Could be a decent team all told.
