There's logic in your reasoning there Ash, though it's hard on the QPR fans!............... please log in to view this image
The OP has done a runner. Waaaa. As for QPR. Similar sentiments. QPWaaaaaaaaa. They had a team geared for promotion, not a team that was realistically going to stay in the PL without investment as they didn't have a "style" last season, just "give it to Adel". They didn't spend enough pre-season and now, in my opinion, they're ****ed. Taarabt, in fairness, I've been impressed with recently in fairness and he has hit a bit of form, but I think not even him having a string of blinders will keep them up now.
Worse, yes, but they havn't splashed out on a load of players in the Jan transfer window and given them a matter of weeks to gel as a team and start getting points. I'm undecided wether they'll go down or not. SHould they start picking up a few points, realistically they'll just stay above the drop zone, but I can see Wolves, Blackburn, Bolton starting to win a few games now, For me, Wigan are f*****.
For me, I see QPR going down, as JA said, because they bought a load of players in a rush and time generally tells us that's a stupid idea... Wigan and Wolves are the two other teams I think will go down. Wolves pretty much confirmed it by sacking McCarthy, and Wigan, well... they were always going to go down weren't they? Just seen Roger Johnson reckons Wolves need to win 6 games out of 13 to stay up... reckon that'll happen? I don't...
Much as he hated us I think they should have stuck with Warnock.I don't see Mark Hughes as being a manager that can in any way be compared to Rodgers or Lambert, his record is chequered at best.Watch Wolves come and win at our place,I just know it.
I'd be disappointed if we didn't beat Wolves at home now, regardless of manager. When we played them at their place they were atrocious, and until we essentially handed them the initiative in the 70/75th minute they hardly had the ball. No game in the PL is easy, but this is one I think we should both look to win at home.
At the start of the season I picked the 3 Ws for the drop - Wigan, Wolves and WBA. Now I'm thinking the first 2 and another. Possibly Bolton. Yakubu should keep Blackburn up.
Anyone in the bottom 12 could go down and as the experts have said its the poorest bottom half of the league for many a year ,two defeats and any team back in the relagation dog fight !!!!
Actually, we're 9 points off relegation, so it'd be 3 defeats, and someone below us would have to win 3 on the bounce (by no means a formality).
Don't get me wrong, I'm not counting any swans until they've hatched! Still, we'd have to collapse pretty badly to go below 3 of the current bottom 5.
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/relegation Swans as likely to be relegated as Aston Villa!?!?!? STID!!!!
Can see you`ll be safe with the likes of WBA,Wolves,Wigan and Blackburn down the bottom as well ,its really a league of two parts.
