Biggest team on the Internet

I spend my free time doing highly interesting things like studying statistics and lurking.
The arguments on who is the biggest team in the world will never be decided. (Though Barca are clearly the best team out there at the moment.)
However, i type the word liverpool in to google everyday, (multiple times) and i noticed today that the word Liverpool brought up 1.1 billion hits. So I thought to myself, i wonder how many hits Chelsea, Manutd, Barcelona, Real Madrid get?

The answer? No where near as many as us. We appear to be the only club in the world with more than 1 billion hits on google. So clearly, (with my stats being the only ones that matter,) we are the most recognised team on the internet. Because we are great.

Man Utd are also known as Man U, Manchester Utd, Manchester United, United, etc

 

I would point out that there are alternatives here.

There are stats about twitter followers for example

there are alternative channels of getting information

however this is not as high as hits on google.

I would ask if there are english only hits or what.

can we monetise this? no.

Do other clubs make more money from media day to day (excluding the games etc) yes.

 

Surprised it's not Manchester Utd, the amount of times Matth must google it each day.
