We had games last season in the Championship with less than 13,000 ticket buyers . Liberty is a stadium for all seasons & all Leagues as is IMO , for SCFC . Now how extra seats fit into plans for other events might be another thing

Agree with the comments on Mcdonalds. I'd much rather spend more money on good quality food than stuff that cr*p down my throat. I'm happy with it being called the Liberty Stadium, we don't want anything like Sports Direct Arena style thing!!

Also I remember reading a while ago that while expanding the Liberty Stadium involved in the plans was a Hotel to be incorporated as part of the expansion. I wonder if that's still part of it. I think it's a great idea and really puts us up there with the bigger teams who have done such things!

Agree with McDonalds comments if i had my way i'd drive them out of the country and not just becaue of their unhealthy food but also because of their unethical political motives..

"Planning has been approved to change to 35,000 seater they are going back as far as red Tarmac in south and north stands as well the east, McDonald's is now going close to stadium but not as close as they were going this is fact not a rumour" - Mark/scfc2

35k is way to much for a club of our size, we will struggle with 25-28k and only the big clubs would come close to filling that, 25k would be plenty and the ospreys has to agree with that. if the tables were turned and we were averaging 7k would we agree for the ospreys to extention.......i dont think so...

Leave the stadium as it is. A 20,000 hostile full house intimidates the opposition.

A 30,000 empty stadium will be no good to us when we eventually go back to the Championship (sorry to disappoint you las and lasses but it will happen eventually)

Very few PL teams are actually intimidated by the crowd if truth be told. The home team can be inspired, granted, but experienced away teams just shrug it off and get on with the job.

I'm for 35k capacity. We will fill it for the big games and most if not all our supporters should get to see some games. The extra revenue will help long term and, tbh, I don't see us dropping down any time soon. If the likes of Stoke, Wigan, Bolton etc can stay up for a few years, so can we. Meantime our academy will be up and running adding to our viability as a PL team. At the very least I would see us a yo yo team but I doubt we will ever again be a permanent lower league team.

If they expand they will satisfy the demand for tickets now and the future at least, (remember 40,000 at wembely ! ). They can also attract larger crowds and acts . ( metalica and the like please ) for off season concerts and other money spinning events .

And with a bit of forward planning they could put in provision for a future closing roof too, which opens up further possibilities for the future as an arena ?
All costed by staying in the prem longish term inc yo-yoing and maximising the stadium to its most flexible income generating potential ?

I'm sceptical about a 35k arena. I thought that 30k was good planning for the future, but 35k seems an excessive jump from 20k. I'd hope that they could do something like expand the north and east stands (creating a St James Park style arena with 2 big stands and 2 little ones), and see how we go before doing the south.

No 'set in stone' truth to it yet though. I hope that we do go through with the hotel though, makes a lot of sense and is a very classy addition.
