Funny you mentioned that, it seems as time passes it becomes more apparent that maybe Nolan, Jose and Barton etc were calling the shots in the dressing room. Must've been a nightmare for Pardew and probably done the likes of Cabaye and some of the younger players like Sammy and Abeid no favours. Colo seems above all that and hasn't spat his dummy out, Nor has Jonas. Maybe the "big personalities" needed to go for the good of the squad development.

Apparently Cabaye has quite a bit of influence in the dressing room already, I think that was one of the reasons Barton kicked off at Leeds.

I think he's the whole reason we're so solid this season...no offence to willo he's been a good player for us but he just cant cut the mustard in the pl unfortunatly and was often caught napping last season leaving colo to do alot of the work but still hes good back up!

i heard baton wasnt best pleased of being releived of playmaking duties (free kicks, corners passing in the centre of the park ect)
