Intriguing.

I'm delighted we got Barnes tbh. Was initially gutted about not getting Maddison, but I think Barnes was the right player to get from Leicester.

Just to clarify there's a difference in saying the players aren't players you're happy with and saying the players aren't quite what you expected going into the window.

I was very vocal in saying Barnes is a good player I'm just agreeing with Carragher rather than interpreting his comments as him saying something he didn't say.

Carragher said Barnes is a good player and he said Tonali was a player at that higher level and I agree.

Of course the windows not shut so it may all be moot.
