Not sure, we can't get Mackay and Zola is the only other free manager out there. OGS was a possible for me but we were too late.
I'd look abroad and get an up and coming manager, remember how no one knew who LDC was (even though he wasnt young) but he had us playing great football.

Think Steve Clark could be good replacemnet did very well with WBA last season and was unlucky this season if chelsea hadn't conned the ref for that last minute pen he would probably still have his job

Well, he's West Ham through and through - he played for them, in case you weren't aware. I don't think his heart has ever been in the QPR job.
all these Harry haters can't believe it well I can with flyer, he will stay & if all goes well at the end of season I'll will have no problems, if we fcuk up then bring someone in for next season.
I don't hate Harry i just believe that he is not the right manager for us... If we do go up this season we will be straight back down after spending more money in the summer sales. Don't forget we still have several players that did not want to play for us in the championship that are out on loan. We need a manager that can build for the future, that needs to be done ASAP and for that new manager to be given this season to assess and improve the players we already have..... Exactly what Harry should have done at the end of last season.

There has been a lot of talk about bringing in a young hungry manager. This started years ago but has been most acute since things went pear shaped under Hughes.
Who are these young, hungry managers? We know that TF is/has been naive about many things. How can we expect him to be able to recognise the potential of a "young hungry manager"? Who does he take advice from?
TF has to go with experienced managers and that is why we have had both Hughes and Redknapp, both of whom were appointed when we were in the Prem. It would be one hell of a gamble to have a "young, hungry manager" take over in the Prem.
It is easier in the Championship, but not by much. He needs to get back to Prem as soon as possible. No time to gamble with young managers or young, unproven players. The best young players are on the books of Prem clubs - many of whom aren't even playing and maybe going out on loan for a few months.
In my humble opinion we need to sit down and think about where we want to be in two or three years. Then you can build a team, not throw one together. If you haven't got time you will go for the older, more experienced players.

Eamon, personally i would have no issue with another couple of seasons in the championship if that time is spent building a team from the manager down. Just because we have money to launch a rocket it doesn't meant we don't have to go through testing etc....

Well the most criticised owner in the Britain has just appointed exactly the Manager we should have had. OGS will probably do an excellent job there, tho he's a bit of a gamble for Cardiff. But, there must be other good candidates. I don't see you cant combine immediate success - at least getting up and staying up - with building for the future. Fairly recent promoted PL Clubs have done this. TF ought to have been around long enough now to have made a few contacts to seek advice from, in any case he has the resources to do scout out another OGS, if one exists!

So you're basing your assertion that he'd "go now" purely on his previous affiliations with the club? Most managers are ex players, most of them have played for various teams (/have soft spots for them)- yet most don't let their career moves be solely guided by who their past employers were.
1) Harry will get paid more at QPR
2) He has a great relationship with the owners, which must make his job a lot easier. That can't be understated.
3) He'll get more funds at QPR
4) I get the impression he cares what people think of him. He cares about the "Redknapp legacy", and knows being relegated with QPR then not returning them to the PL, would be a blot on his copy book.
5) Him and his coaching staff are settled here.
6) West ham are second from bottom, and three points from safety.He's just been through one relegation blighted campaign, I don't think he'll fancy another. They've just been pasted 5-0 by forest, who only stuck 2 past us.
Etc etc.
I'm assuming if you're slinging statements around like "he'd go now" and "his heart has never been in it", you must've really done your research, and kept thoroughly up to date with all his public appearances re QPR. You'll be carefully analysing his body language/mannerisms in all his pre/post match interviews etc.
I'll probably have to defer to your expertise on that one.
Personally though, whilst watching his weekly interviews on QPR player I've noticed no indication that he's unhappy at the club. Media regularly quiz him on different links with managerial positions, what it's like at QPR, what the plans for the future are- and the responses are always satisfactory/honest.
The only Arry' evasiveness/spin there's been this season has related to transfers/opinions on matches; which is par for the course.
