Any competitive game counts towards clubs you've played for, however a player can only play for a max of 2 clubs in each competition, subject to that competitions own rules, like in our cup and champions league etc you get cup tied once you play in them for one side each season.
Could we be cutting our cloth ready for next season? Any transfers in the next transfer window would be restricted by FFP - they won't if bought now. Billy Sharp would be an excellent signing for us as a squad player if we get promoted, and would simply be an excellent player if we're still championship. Also as others have said, we can use the emergency loan system to play him. 93 days before May 4th (end of the season) is January 31st. Even if we don't stretch the rules to play him this season, what can't be denied is that with our turnover - we cannot sign him in July.
who makes this **** up?? I can 100% guarantee we will not be signing Sharp, I know Steve Wigley personally, we looked at him and enquired about him in the Summer, but his wage demands killed any deal dead
Correct, except it's unlimited with emergency loans. Theoretically a player could play for his own club in August. Join and play for 3 different clubs on 28 day emergency loans before Xmas, join a new club permanently and play for them in January, then join another 3 completely different clubs on 28 day emergency loans before the loan window closed in March. The only 2 that would count would be the first club he was with, and the one that signed him permanently in January. You don't need a recall clause if it's to sell the player. The fact he's already played for Saints and Forest though means they could only sell him to a foreign club because any buyers would need to play their season during our summer. (They'd get dispensation for the 2 clubs in a season thing on account of him not having played for Saints during their 2013 season, so they would only be his second club in their season) He played in the FA Cup. All competitive first team games count, and as much as everyone treats the FA Cup as a reserves competition it is still classed as first team. His loan at Ipswich was an emergency loan so it doesn't count towards the two.
It's 2 on long term deals. Half/full season loans and permanent transfers count as long term deals. Everything else is a short term deal, and they're unlimited other than as a result of the opening and closing of the emergency loan windows.
Billy Sharp will never play for Southampton again, he was told that he was not a Premier League player by the club chairman, same as a few of the other players. We will make him an emergency loan leading onto a full registration in February. It does not matter what Steve Wigley says, the situation changed yesterday.
We had the exact same rumour last season. 2m in January, all set to sign.....and he went to Southampton.
what a waste of a thread I know personally we will not sign him now, next week, next year...next NEVER anybody that replies on this post is wasting there life END OF
I think I’m going into irony overload. Everything I've read that you've contributed to this ****ing forum has been a massive waste of my ****ing life. Also, writing 'END OF' means that you’re a ****.
Actually we had a bid accepted by Donny. Southampton came in with an 11th hour bid and we were undone. No real surprise. 1st or 11th?
Yeah to be fair if the league positions had of been the other way round he probably would of signed for Leicester. He seems the type of player who would put his ambitions before money.
Drop the S. No need for the S. My mate reckons the D is silent so it's actually pronounced Chris Woo. FACTLET.
