FIFA have made it crystal clear that irrespective of the fa's previous assertions that an emergency loan doesn't count, they will annihilate any club that tries to argue the point in future. City will not be taking the risk. Irrespective of the fact that sharp was on the radar previously, that ship sailed as soon as he played for Southampton and then went to forest.
Nonsense. We are doing with our bid for DJ Campbell so cleary we are taking that risk even if the first part was true. Lots and lots of teams do this so the first part is just nonsense.
I've spoken to my contact and he said a bid has been lodged but it's nowhere near £2m. Also the Egyptian player we are after has been confirmed as Gedo.
IT IS NOT you can only play for two clubs a season. Hence the reason why it is bollocks that the Mirror are spreading about Elmo and Cardiff. If you don't believe me then go watch SB's pre-match interview on player. HE says as much.
D.J Campbell has only played for Ipswich this season, he has not played for his parent club, so he has not played for two clubs.
Article 5.3 of FIFA regulations (http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/affe..._en_122007.pdf) on status and transfer of players is what everyone is referring to. It's also completely wrong to say that emergency loans will allow us a way around this. Whilst a few clubs have gotten away with it previously, FIFA have made it very clear that they'll not stand for it again. Whilst the ga have in public said 'go on then, try it', behind closed doors they've made the clubs very much aware that they won sanction any club using the emergency loan rule unless it is a true emergency loan ie they club doesn't have enough fit players to put a full squad out. Be very very surprised if this had even an iota of truth, so much so I'd say there is no chance of it happening. Zero, none, nada, zip, diddly squat, fa-hook a-hal Blundersides record on rumours this year has been absolutely dire and that because their source has left the building. This forum has more accurate info than gollums gang
To me this reads as: Dj Campbell looking more likely to go to Palace, Bruce is looking at Gedo as a back-up option and Mike Dean has (not for the first time this year) made up 'news' to gain more listeners.
Where's bullshit man when you need him? Campbell isn't excluded as he hasn't played for qpr in a match that falls within the regulations. If you're going to be a smart arse, make sure your argument is right. The clubs which do it are the ones with small squads who can legitimate argue that they have a genuine emergency. City, as a championship club with the squad they have, don't have a prayer of succeeding with the argument
FFS You can't PLAY (i.e. walk out on to a pitch as a properly registered player in a league game) for more than two clubs. Playing on loan is playing. If your parent club loan you out from the season's start, you haven't actually "played" for them. DJ is an example of a player who has only played for Ipswich in the league so can move. Sharp has played for 2 clubs already so has bob hope of a move.
No, makes no difference. As elmo has played for the makems and us, the only clubs he will be playing for are us and then makems, hence the confidence that he will be back with us shortly, especially since they're apparently bringing a couple of people in which will free up elmo again
Steve, some people genuinely don't know the rules so they're just asking questions. That said, others are bloody irritating - misinformation or just stupid, I'm not sure
It is like groundhog day reading this. How many more people are going to say the same thing a different way? I wasn't being rude, just it was perfectly clear to me after reading the thread what the rules are (I knew them anyway, but the thread seems very clear!).
