I thought he was out until November? Sure bring Cooper until then, but Hobbs is still a major player in our team
I've been asking about this for ages. The deal was talked about being done months ago but it was never announced as signed.
Cheltenham have a wide right player with a bit of skill and is quite nippy (name escapes me for the moment ) and worth watching in the play off final coming up his weekend.
Who stays and who goes will depend on who the manager is imo. Apoint the wrong manager and some under contract players will want out. Who could blame them ?
Why do people want a seemingly ineffective Hammill? The Boro fans said he was disinterested in being in this division for them for the second half of the season and proved to have little impact.
Don't know why Hammill has that attitude to playing in the Championship, seen as though he played his best football in the Championship, then when he went to the Prem he was inconsistent, I don't think a Prem team would want him now, so it's either Wolves or another Championship team for him
The players leaving are still contracted till 30 June aren't they - still over a months wages to pay for no return. I don't see anyone else making any purchases at the moment come to think of it either.
I'm probably wrong but I'm sure I heard that he was making a brilliant recovery and could be back earlier?
Not if he's playing alongside Chester. Did nobody see that for the last month of the season we had no ability to defend set pieces whenever anyone built like an adult got into our area on account of us having a team that would be dwarfed by the Thorseby Primary School team.
i reckon the writing is on the wall for George. Dudgeon pushing for starts and Townend signed up as back-up, whilst his mate Barmby is now history, means I reckon he has already signed a one year reduced deal at Scunny.
This is why we need a new manager appointing next week! some contracts are up and he need to decide if they are to be renewed..or not..There will be no room for sentiment and not much time to decide...even harder as I assume most players will be on holiday so how do you decide without seeing them play.....interesting times ahead!
I'm sure if Martinez goes to Liverpool, Bruce will return to Wigwam. Bruce is mercenary character and would surely have a much bigger budget and bigger salary at Wigan. Whelan has already said in public he would welcome him back, so in my opinion it's a done deal. For those who want Bruce you'd better get your prayer mats out that Martinez objects to not having sole control of all footballing matters at Anfield and turn his back on the opportunity of a lifetime.
