Awww bless.........Anyway heres my favourite recipe for scouse Ingredients 3 tablespoons vegetable oil 340g (12 oz) diced braising steak 340g (12 oz) diced lamb Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste 1.5kg (3 lb) potatoes, peeled 3-4 cups beef stock 2 medium onions, diced 2 medium carrots, thickly sliced 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce Preparation method Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 2 hours 30 mins 1.Preheat the oven to 160 degrees C / gas mark 4. Heat the oil in a large skillet. Season the meats with salt and pepper; brown on all sides. Transfer to a large, deep casserole pot. 2.Cut 3/4 of the potatoes into thin slices; set on top of the meat. Pour in the stock. Cover and cook in the oven 90 minutes. 3.Cut the rest of the potatoes into small cubes. After 90 minutes, give the scouse a stir to break up the sliced potatoes (this will help thicken it). 4.Mix in the uncooked potatoes, onions, carrots and Worcestershire sauce; cover and cook 60-90 minutes more, or until the meat is very tender. 5.Adjust the seasonings and serve.
And before our favourite little soap dodger gets on here YES we lost as well BUT we lost a league match that hasn't done us much harm really as opposed to loosing something bigger than the world cup if you believe him
Thanks, for that Bongo. I fancy a bit of Scouse, going to get the ingredients tomorrow and have it for me tea.
We are the same points from relegation as we were when the weekend games started . I've got a feeling 17th place this season will have the least amount of points in a very long time & that works for me .
The funny thing is, everyone is congratulating us on the performace and wishing us well..... .........apart from the bitter Jacks! A game that has no bearing on them, but they can't find a kind word. Typical!
The Cardiff team & manager were fantastic , all heart , blood & guts . A historic loss for Cardiff that should feel like a win really .
I'm sure Wales might be a bit more proud if they actually had a Welsh player starting the game , but still , Cardiff's team played at a 100% effort .
We're talking about footy not Rugby lad and if the Swans have a full squad of Welshmen born and bred you've won your point
....i think you need to check the Cardiff thread most of this is banter there's some good stuff on your boards
Swansea have 3 Welsh regulars that play in the Premier , 76 starts from 25 games this season . Cardiff have 22 starts from over 30 games with Welsh players , simple .
...i think you need to check the Cardiff thread most of this is banter there's some good stuff on their boards from Jacks
I thought before the final that Liverpool would have walked it, based on the Cardiff performance in the semi, but full credit to Cardiff, they where a different team today, and well up for the game, thought that they played really well as a unit, hate games going to penalties, but what showed in the end was fitness, and Liverpool still had legs, while Cardiff's had gone, both Gerrards failed at the penalty shoot out, but full credit to Liverpool for coming through a very tough game, and that's full credit to Cardiff for doing the team and country proud today!.............. please log in to view this image
Nah, Swansea done Wales proud when they won promotion to the premier league. Consistently losing in the finals isn't doing your country proud at all, just makes us look second best. Thank God for Swansea eh, pride of Wales!
