I know I'm jumping ahead of myself and I am honestly trying to keep my feet on the ground but there could be some truth in this, just say we do keep playing the way we are and at some point we have built a 9 point cushion, there would be no reason why the players couldn't be rested for 8-10 days. Sure the danger is we moght lose momentum but although I am guessing this was said in jest, why should we have to carry on playing the way we are for the full season, it could be over before then.
It has been said this happens and as people have said on the other thread, it is because Bielsa doesn't like to rotate so the players tire due to the style of play. 46 games is along season so he might need to consider this.
Apparently its thanks to Pochetino that we managed to get a work permit so quickly for Bielsa. He wrote a letter to the FA and Home Office stating that Bielsa more than covered their “Exceptional Talent” threshold
When we talk of fatigue, with players it's more mental than physical. I'm pretty sure Bielsa will have learned from previous mistakes. No idea what the solution will be, but old red nose used to send specific players off for a wee break in the sun - usually the weakest mentally (like Rooney! ). And it worked. Won't have gone un-noticed by Bielsa. The thing is, when you're new to a squad, how do you identify your weakest links in time to do something about it? That's the biggest worry for me.
