Don't know what to make of this. Personally I think he's improved a lot since we had him last, he's grown physically and mentally. But when Liam is back, will he be needed? I'm not sure.
Well short term he will come straight in alongside Wes. As things stand Moore and Morgan are the only centre halfs we will have on our books for next season so Hobbs wouldn't be just a short term fix. Nigel really rates him and he must believe he can do it in the prem.
Interesting. Well I would rather him over Whitbread and SSL, regardless of whether we stay in the Championship or are in the Premiership next season.
Pearson obviously thinks higher of Hobbs than Bruse does if he's looking to buy for a possible prem season. Would solve our problems for the next month at least, then it would be interesting to see who starts.
http://www.forestforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=39417&page=96 possibly the best comment ever! Depends on how far into discussion with Wigan and Reading he has got though, might be all but signed up for one of them.
Will Hull deal with us or will they throw a hissy fit like when we went for Stewart a couple of years ago...
Its believed that they have said this so that they can sell him, they had to say something like this to get him back from his season long loan at Forest. Maybe we would have the upper hand on this transfer if we were to wave any sell on fees, eg. if he comes to us, Hull get the full amount for the transfer, whereas if he goes to Reading, we take a cut. Im a proper Dell Boy
Think this would be great if this happened. As good as Wes is really have concerns that he will be found out at Prem level should we get there. Hobbs is so much younger and still improving. Him and Moore could be a fantastic pairing. The point of the sell on clause could well have a part to play.
Yes very interesting. I´d say yes to him. NP knows him & rates him (or he wouldn´t be trying to buy him again) He´s at a good age & we need some cover/improvement in our DEF.
I think he'd be great alongside Morgan- Forest fans were desperate for this at the start of the season. You'd imagine that we'd be the favoured choice out of the three, though does anyone know why Forest aren't involved? We're favourites for promotion, and he knows our manager, who's signed him twice before. However, he might still harbour a grudge at being unceremoniously dumped here a couple of years back, and might worry that he'd be replaced if we were to go up, like he was with Hull. If we match the offers from Wigan/Reading, can we talk to him as well?
