As the Rock would say "It doesn't matter what you think"

The fat controller will do what he wants, and that's the long and the short of it. One of the golden rules of business is "know your customer", and Ashley has figured us lot out long ago. We may bitch like crazy, and tell the cockney mafia to get out of our club, BUT we will turn up in our droves, every home match, come what may, to fill his pockets.

Ashley has absolutely no emotional ties with the club. Money is all the counts for him, and nothing else matters.

If an offer -which represents "good business" for Asley - comes in for any player, including Colo, Asley will take it, and send out Alain de Pardieu yet again to face the media, and expain how the club didn't want to lose the player, but he wanted to leave, so the club was left with no option but to sell.

"Hope for the best. Expect the worst" is my motto. There is little point in getting upset about something over which you have no control.

Yeah your right why should we sign a player who has high confidence in his own abilities and beliefs and who thinks he is great and will only get better....

Your totally right mate we should stick with these low confidence wonders like Ameobi and Leon Best......

TBH we need a striker and that is what he is. He's a fairly big name (if your bothered about that) and as said by others I think he could do well with a decent run.

I have some Arsenal friends (i know... shocking haha) and although they agree that he's too full of himself, they do admit he isn't too bad.

Would also love to get Chamakh, but really don't see that happening.

Sorry but I just don't agree with this, if you wanted to make money you wouldn't buy a football club, the man's plowed £280m into the club, so I very much doubt he's 'in it for the money' and 'nothing else matters' unless he's a masochist.

Not a fan of him myself, but we are getting to the stage where he is probably the best of what is left, unless Carr has somebody up his sleeve.

    In Carr we trust ...

yeah thats totally what i meant...pillock.

what i'm saying is his attitude could upset the squad further as he's been known to whinge down at arsenal. he thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread and has yet to justify why he believes it IN MY OPINION.

I think he's a decent player. Good presence. Still think we could do with a different 'type' of striker to Ba but I'm not complaining if this comes true.

He complained once at Arsenal that he wasn't getting a decent opportunity to have a run of games in the first team then at the end of the season he asked to leave.

I don't think he's a whinger when you look at the fact that Denilson wanted to leave, Clichy wanted to leave and now Nasri and Fabregas also want to leave, so there's clearly something not quite right at Arsenal rather than Bendtner just being a whinger.

Yes he holds a high opinion of himself, but players need to have a high opinion of themselves in order to become the very best. If you don't believe your a great striker then your not gonna play like a great striker. Whoever signs him and gives him a good run of games will see the benefits two or three months down the line. I just hope it's us

Ashley bought the club without doing due diligence, as it was a hostile takeover. Unfortunately for him, Sir John Hall forgot to mention a few things to him...such as the fact that the £52m mortgage on the new stand was repayable within 28 days, if the club changed hands.

Also, he has admitted that after he took over, he found that the club's finances were far worse than he had anticipated. For example, all the sponsership money for the following five years had been spent, to finance the Michael Owen purchase from Real Madrid, who were also still owed the bulk of the transfer fee.

Ashley is a gambler, and in the case of NUFC he bought a "pig in a poke". He has been forced to prop the club up since, not because of any feelings for it, or it's supporters, but simply to keep it going, and in the hope that he can make it a better proposition, for any potential buyers, somewhere down the line.

Hes hit and miss. Ive seen him score absolute beauties (against Toon as well), but miss open goals the next.

If he's cheap enough. Sign him. Id rather have the odd hit and miss then nothing at all.

If he was half as good as he says he is it would be like signing 10 Zidanes. He's still better than what we have, I'd like to see him here.

I've always thought he's decent when I've seen him playing for Arsenal and he'd definatley improve our striking options if we were to sign him.

The transfer policy on this board is "he's better than Ameobi and Lovenkrands, sign him up!" <yikes>. You lot do realise that applies to most people, including me, don't you?

Good news! A leaked photo from Bendtners private Facebook profile has surfaced.

    He's been training all summer:

Well, at this moment in time (being just days away from the opener and having Ba as a our best striker) we cannot afford to pick and choose who we want in.

A few weeks ago then a lot of people on here would have said no to him (me included) but the situation we find ourselves in, doesn't look too good and our striker force isn't exactly going to strike fear into the hearts of our opposition now is it?

well if he does end up here i'll get behind him and hope he comes good but i've got to say that if i were involved in the clubs transfer dealing i wouldn't buy him and i wouldn't have been looking at obertan either. i just hope they fulfil their potential, i would have higher hopes for obertan than bendtner
