As Dorset says it's our lot mate rarely go to the dark side unless I need a laugh, been going on with us for a while now.

I don't know if there is something in the water or what, but there seems to be a far greater number of threads lately which deteriorate into mindless name calling and even the odd threat of violence.
I can understand this to some extent when it is directed towards some of the Mags who just come on here with the sole intention of slagging off anything that is Sunderland, but against fellow fans just because they have a differing standpoint is just plain crazy.

We have disagreed on numerous occasions MrR, without letting it get personal.

Like I always say abusing someone for their opinion is counter productive as any follow on becomes meaningless.
(Unless it's against a Mag. )

For me, that's the attraction of sites such as this. If we all just agreed with each other we would soon get sick. However, to call someone a twat, nob-head etc just because their opinion doesn't match yours is for me is a sure sign of immaturity or lack of intellect.
Mind you, I do sometimes make an exception to this rule when it comes to certain Skunks, but that's only because all the evidence points to them being twats and nob-heads...

sorry I'm late, just been giving Osca a stroke, not sure he enjoyed it but by gum I did.

I must admit that at the moment I find myself not enjoying the name calling, I disagree with many views but dont see the need to abuse people for having them. I'm also getting a little sick of having the mod title used to hit me, I'm a Sunderland fan first and a mod a good way second, just seems a very cheap sot to me.

I suppose its a combination of a few things, no football, an impatience waiting for that first elusive signing and the site growing. I suppose its a case of more lighthearted posts and walking away from the abusers, hopefully the next few weeks will see things start to move and we can all get back to talking footy.

ive had some cheap digs about the mod thing to syd..if they want to do it....

sure things will pick up
, seems things are hitting new lows lately.... take the piss, but originality helps, instead of **** you dick.
do it in a non-offensive manner, as we all have to put up with it.

The thing is, the venom in their seems to have been festering for awhile and certain posters were just waiting to rip me a new one.
How come they aren't screaming abuse at the other posters that agree with me? (Honest there must be one. )
