I've read the piece, and to be honest, I don't think he was being negative or bias against Arsenal. He doesn't say we have no chance in hell of wining the trophy, but is he wrong when he says that realistically our silverware chances lie away from this trophy? Does anyone believe we have a better chance of winning the UCL over the FA Cup or even the Capitol One Cup? Fact is, there's always a possibility of us wining the thing, but the chances are very remote, there's no reason to suddenly believe that we have a major chance of wining the thing, or are the favourites to do so, considering we've never won the trophy in the first place, and haven't been able to progress to the semi's of the tournament in the last 3 seasons, let alone being in a final in the past 6 seasons. So I don't see why we should get annoyed when someone says our chances are remote, and that silverware realistically lies elsewhere?
It's not so much about what he said, though. In that whole article, there was just a few lines about us compared to the other three English team. He even went into more depth about ****ing Celtic of all teams.
He also put Celtic first in the list. What's your point? If he doesn't think we have any chance of winning, what more is there to say? For all the moaning about this guy on here, only one person has stood up and said "No, I think he was wrong, we have a good chance of winning it". It seems people want it both ways ... they want to agree that we don't have much chance of winning the cup, and moan about us not getting equal coverage in a conversation about it. Can't do both.
My point is that he has given absolute no hopers like Celtic more mention, when we are one of the top 8 sides in this competition. We stand as good a chance as the rest of the English teams. There are only three clear favourites (Real,Barca and Bayern) IMO.
The way I see it, the less attention we get, the better. Let's just do our thing, and go game to game, and do our best, see what happens, and pull a surprise on everyone. Let's not throw major expectations on this new team, which will only add pressure to them, and cause them to stutter.
