Shame this didn't happen seven years ago. I doubt that Amit would've gone down the same path that Fernandes did. It's also good that we have a chairman who can be closer to the day to day running of the club and not gallivanting all over the world.
I wonder where Amit sits regarding Sir Les. I could be wrong but I had the feeling Sir Les and Tony were close alies.
That is a significant act of forgiveness! It's all about the Green Crystal. Superman got a second chance after ditching his super powers for the love of Lois Lane. I don't think there were any more crystals to give him a third chance! We've had our second chance after Wembley. The money in the PL now makes it very difficult indeed for a newly promoted team to go up and stay up against those who've had a chance to spend on better players and consolidate over a season or two. I am pleased at the way the club is being run (sensibly) but I do wonder whether we'll be given that third chance before a fair few seasons have passed. Delighted, of course, to be proved wrong and perhaps Amit's appointment is a step towards that. Most seem to think it is.
Not before time, hopefully he will lead us into a more stable period. Interesting article here about his appointment... https://www.football.london/queens-park-rangers-fc/amit-bhatia-qpr-10-years-15034875
How can he stand down and still be co owner, hope it’s a brighter future for rangers, deserve some success
That's true, but Amit has worked with Tony and Ruben for some years. I doubt he'd take the role on if he was going to be a puppet. And I get the impression from what Tony has said, that the majority shareholders are not intending to be hands-on. So Amit should have scope to express himself, which for me, would be a positive thing
Good move. I think that TF has done for QPR what he has done with best intentions. Maybe a less social media owner will help the club reach the next level -which for me is new stadium, training ground and youth team / development squad that means we can nurture talents like Raheem Sterling, Sir Les, and sell them to others for millions (and include sell on clauses which keep the cash coming in) No Pressure then....
Do you amit, Amit as our new CEO is an admittal of admiration for a person who l must amit is an admission of admiring the man named, Amit.
We'll see how he gets on, but our perception of his past dealings within the club is a positive. We, the supporters, can only hope the board and chairperson see themselves as trustees of the club rather than merely the owners. Clubs get into trouble when the shareholders get that confused... Good luck to him.
They have all spunked so much cash into the club they are never leaving Never gonna get it back Their grandkids will be promising training grounds and stadiums
