HIAG didn’t decline it though, he agreed to the bet. Should have gone straight up in the OP. Nothing sneaky, underhand or twisted about it. Both parties had ample time to assess the bet and both agreed to it. Just because it didn’t go straight up in the OP doesn’t mean it should now be struck off, otherwise it comes across as being another example of making a mockery of this thread.

Just to be clear @Spurlock - if we don't get relegated I get to change HIAG's avatar for the first month of the next season ..and in each of the next 4 seasons in total if we don't get relegated at all in that time frame ... BUT it's ONLY for the first month of each ... I'm also prepared to offer this concession ... if we were to get relegated say in the 2018/19 season (given us being relegated in tis one seems unlikely at this point) then HIAG gets to change my avatar for the first month of the 2019/2020 season under the bet as it stands ... but I'll also grant him the right to also change my avatar for the first month of the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 seasons if we are still outside the EPL in those seasons ... that seems fair in terms of the length of avatar forfeits that each of us would need to endure? So it's over to HIAG .. back his claims or now concede that he has been spouting bollox and that his 'catastrophic spiral' thread has been something of a fail to date Further help here ... .. sorry to disappoint you Sweetcheeks, but I'm actually having a 'bosting' day as my west midlands counterparts might say ... and that on top of a very fine week including watching us dismantle one of the better teams in the EPL ... Indeed, right now I'm as chilled as a polar bear's chuff and very much looking forward to a nice weekend ... I'm aware of it, since you reminded me....and I'm going to have to spend the weekend looking into it with microscopic attention to detail in order to conclude wether the main reason for it not being in the OP is my lapse in it getting it into the OP or wether it was just a proposed bet that became a 'your mum stinks' to and fro due to the 2 participants. I will probably reach a decision sometime next week after further deliberation with @Skylarker (since he is the unofficial PL Mod)
