The Wearmouth Stadium...meh sounds dull as **** to me :-/[/QUOTE] It's **** name & was from day one. It's not even original. Typical Murray/Fickling decision. Sound more important, . We could rename it after you - Arsewipe Arena. It's like saying Rupert sounds more important than Bob.
In what way does it give it magnitude? If we get relegated, then relegated again, will the name still give it magnitude? There's nowt wrong with recognising heritage, even if the name is unfashionable and unglamourous! There's more to life than glamour and grandiose names!
It does sound special but the team performances need to be likewise or it seems a bit pretentious and almost embarrassing - imv . We may yet grow into it when we conquer Europe - well I live in hope for an unexpected intervention - lol
Busy wondering & hoping for Everton & Watford cup progress after hard close games. All makes our run in easier Still outside chance of Palace going down leaving 3 NE teams in premier next season. Villa , Canaries & Eagles possibly going down - we'll soon see
Cheers as you know I have alot of very fanciful football thoughts. Enjoy your game but not the result (for my own selfish reasons )-
Wandy. Where do you live? Not the actual Address I don't want to come round for a cup of peppermint tea and walkers shortbread. The general area will do.
